@Hooroo Missed the race and only seen the finish on a Facebook video.
It's notable how much ground she makes up on the horses that came second and third - just coming from too far back to make it count.
Too right.
That race solidified our thoughts on if she should be there or not. She can definitely compete but just needs clear air.
Keep your money on her, I reckon.
Turret and Sussex (Paddock names of Fifi and Betty) racing this Saturday, I think.

That's exactly why I'm not sure moonee Valley will be very well suited for her. I think tracks like Flemington with a bit more space are key.
However, I thought the same with Plein Ciel which is a big horse and typically needs a bit of room to wind up coming home, and it won at MV last month when I didnt think it would be suited at all. Worth noting is its usually off pace or a back marker and in that race they changed tactics and pushed forward to sit only one back at the turn

the last meeting at MV nearly all races were won by swoopers which is not something you usually see there. So she's a chance.
Just don't get caught on the rail or you are fuuuucked

Look, I completely understand that I am biased towards this horse but how the hell does Polly get up for 5th after running like this!!
This stewards vision shows it perfectly. All the horses are running balanced and quiet and Polly is all over the place, trips twice after running up the back of a horse and gets back to last and still gets fifth after all that extra work she has done, over-racing, over 2000 metres!
Swooon!
Load up next time lads!

I'm whacking the next 10 years of my kids education on her next run.

@Hooroo And she was winning by the 2300 metre mark!
I'm reminded of the Duke brothers at the end of Trading Places - "Get those brokers back in here. Turn those machines back on..."
What a great movie

Too late, you can't talk me out of it. My kids are already referring to you as Uncle Hooroo, the guy who made us rich.

Tip of the day. Race 3 Avondale, Eridani.
loaded up. Both the betting app and the blame gun

Long day ay at Races on Saturday!
Race 1 at Pukekohe we have Sussex and Race 7 we have Turret. Both chances, particularly Sussex.
Ricky Baker deserves a chance after the awful ride he was given at Riccarton last start. He's at Riccarton this weekend in one of the races

R7 owners presentation could be pretty entertaining!

Especially if Sussex wins first!! We are not majority holder of Turret so I would hope the majority shareholder would step up, but I doubt it as I am racing manager.
Be nice to have the opportunity to win twice on same day again

Need You Now returns in R11 at Addington on Friday night. She's had two workouts to prepare for this - in the first, she sat quietly at the back and had plenty in reserve right in behind them at the finish. In the last one, she worked to the lead and only got hauled in late, finishing 3rd.
She's es drawn wide in barrier 8 and her stablemate Spellbound is the major threat from her draw but she's an each way hope and can win fresh up with the right trip in transit.

Nice. She will be at reasonable tidy odds too, I would imagine?

She's one of the higher rated fillies in the field so I reckon you'll be lucky to get more than $4. She's drawn wide due to the preferential barrier draw conditions for the race (based on the ratings) :
