Any tips on great games to watch most welcomed, by the way.
As a Cowboys fan I would say the 1992-93 NFC Championship game against the 49ers at Candlestick. Their games in the early 90s were always classics because of the rivalry.
watching this at the moment. Old. School. The field is atrocious, the commentators (Madden included) are reasonably flat, it's 3:4 ration and standard def ... no wonder we went to the games back then!
That said, interesting arm wrestle game so far (including cheesy 90's ads)

Re-watched the Eli Manning/David Tyree helmet catch Superbowl at the weekend. Great game, the Giants defence was amazing - smashed Brady multiple times. Brady played really well down the stretch, and the eventual Tyree catch was insane. I thought it was notable for a young Steve Smith playing too, but it's the OTHER Steve Smith (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Smith_(wide_receiver,_born_1985)
Anyway, thoroughly enjoyable, particularly to see young Bill Belichek and Tom Coughlan, and for the eventual result (who doesn't love an underdog!).
I'm still grinding through the normal def Cowboys 49ers, but Rice is an absolute machine. Emmitt Smith is incredible too, but the game is so so different.

It will be interesting to see if they throw Cam into the opening game, or hold him in reserve for a while until he gets to know the system.
With the virus, training camps will be curtailed pretty severely. You think they would be tempted to stick with Stidham at the beginning at least considering he would be familiar with the O-line, plays etc.
Newton at his best could take this team a long way. Pats had no receivers or RBs to speak of last year, so an X-factor QB could work well. But who knows how healthy he is.

@barbarian if he gets on a roll, with Bill's brain scheming with him, that could be just amazing.
Frankly, I think it was disgraceful the way the league treated him a few years ago. The non-calls on him being hit was horrific, and had to contribute to his current injury state. Always enjoyed watching him play.
I absolutely loved this exchange:
You've been watching film huh? Watch this

$1.3 million, per week, for a decade.

Chiefs probably fucked now though.

Yeah - should cost them too much, but the way he's been playing, who the hell knows? What a talent - would be delighted to see him and Andy Reid forge a dynasty together. Reid's coaching tree is amazing, such an innovative coach without the championships (until reecently)

They are screwed now. No more money to pay good players not named Patrick

Speaking of Washington Redskins.
The word is there is a bombshell report due to come out tomorrow in the Washington Post about the team and a heap of allegedly illegal acts the team have been involved with - up to and including the owner.
I think Washington could be getting a new owner very soon.

What is it?
I made a bet with my wife that it would be something like windtalkers or something (edit: perhaps codetalkers?).
I'm sure they said they would try to"honor Native Americans and those who've served" so the names for Native American units would be a good starting point (whether you agree or not).

NFL superstars are coming out on social media questioning how the season can start safely in its proposed format ie just like normal. I can't see how they can safely play a high contact sport without having set up a bubble, or a few bubbles. Fanciful on the part of the league really
