I'm starting to be convinced that no league journos in Australia actually watch the Warriors, and haven't in about 10 years.

Paul Kent had a rant last night about the direction, and look at this fucking quote

“The Warriors are a side that don’t defend mistakes. So they play great football and pop a pass, but they don’t handle adversity well and that’s the problem."

He's right about adversity, but playing great football? When was the last time that was the case? It's the same things over and over. The big Warriors forwards. And playing great ad-lib football. Neither have been true for fucking years.

Probably back when Ali Lauatiti, Clinton Toopi and Kevin Campion were all running round at the same time.

So the Aussie media are trying to link us to Wayne Bennett. Fuck that. If we hire that roster wrecking dinosaur i am out. That would be the last straw.

His assistant at Souths, the guy earmarked to take over, would be a fucking good shout. He started up here with the Pride, and won us the national club comp, by all accounts he's an absolute gun.

How the fuck does a 71-year old who is 15 years out of date still get earmarked for every single fucking job in the NRL? Clubs are so stupid.

and a 14 days quarantine to mull it over if he heads back to NZ anytime soon!

Kearney's family remained in Qld while he coached the Warriors so no need to return "home".

    @mariner4life

    He'll do OK.

The Warriors' shock axing of coach Stephen Kearney will come at a massive financial cost.

The Daily Telegraph in Sydney has reported the Auckland-based NRL club might have to fork out $2 million to pay-out Kearney, who had more than two years remaining on his contract, though Stuff understands the figure could be closer to $1.6 million.

so between $50,000 and $62,500 per win achieved, just to not coach us any more.

I need to suck at my job harder

And in a continuation of my "why the fuck does Wayne Bennett still get jobs" campaign

With a fucking good roster, he has the Bunnies at a super impressive 3-4.

Those wins? Us, the Gold Coast, and Cronulla. 3 of the probably bottom four.

And then the surly old bastard comes out for an 88-word, 80-second press conference.

    "Super Coach" my ass

They're paying him somewhere around $800K per year? To do a job with, to be very harsh, a minuscule chance of success? Toughest part of the job is fronting up once a week to explain why you suck at your job and the cliched scripts for that are readily available.

No wonder Geoff Toovey has put put his hand up (though it might be better described as hand out) for the job.

    $800K? Come on! That's ridiculous!

Time to get an up and coming coach. These guys are overpaid and underdeliver. Ivan didn't have first team experience before he came to us did he? These Walker brothers, or someone like them, are the go. Hungry, will do more with less, and cheaper

First 50/50 call goes against the Warriors.

I thought he still had a finger on it.

Ambitious run down the left from the Storm and we get em.

Exposed when RTS comes into the line as a 5th tackle playmaker.

Warriors look good but the kicking option to go high is not the one

Warriors roster playing exactly as described by @mariner4life. They’ll need a ‘sacked coach bounce back’ to avoid conceeding 50 at this rate.

I wish they’d put super rugby on Friday nights, then I wouldn’t be forced to choose between watching the Warriors or putting razor blades under my eye lids.

What do you say about that performance. Lots of effort In first 20 but no points. Then followed by the Warriors we know.

The Warriors right hand side couldn't score in a brothel.
