In KP's tipping, I tipped the Blues but just before submission I tipped the Chiefs as I can't bring myself to enjoy a blues win over the chiefs..

Chiefs are correctly favourites at home. Blues still have a good chance of course. But a big crowd and greater involvement from refs helps the home team a lot

It'd be the other way around if this was at Eden Park.

This will be a mahoosive game. Blues ability to win on the road tested against a team battling to stay in the contest.

It will be interesting to see how the Chiefs respond to the law interpretation amendments. Especially if the refereeing is closer to Sunday's match than Saturday's.

    I'm super excited again.

Refereeing is fine as long as they are consistent. Side entry gets nailed, jacklers with the rights get rewarded, fast support play gets rewarded. Basically apply the goddamn laws referees!

    In theory.

I keep seeing the penalty Dillon Hunt won on TV news replays when he clearly was never supporting his own bodyweight. It was obvious when watching the game live, but not to Paul Williams.

They've finally given the Akira/Papali'i/Sotutu backrow a chance. I remember the last time Akira and Sotutu got a bit of time on the field together, which was in the 2nd half/OT of the 2018 NPC Final, and that was a beautiful sight.

The bench does lack a bit of attacking power. I'm hoping Narawa gets a chance in that 23 jersey at some point. It's weird they've gone with two tighthead props on the bench.

    We were robbed.

I was there. It was a miracle - injuries and penalties at just the right times for Auckland

We're down 20 - 7 at halftime and we were thoroughly outplayed in the 1st half, and to make matters worse, the heavy rain came to the party for the 2nd half. In dry conditions, we might still be a chance to come back, but in such poor conditions, I thought it was impossible. I honestly gave up on us winning.

I think the biggest miracle was our handling in the 2nd half in those conditions. I think we had 70% of the ball in the 2nd half, and we were handling the ball better than we'd ever handle it in great conditions.

It would've been deemed a great final if it ended in regular time, but the game going to overtime made it an even better final...truly one for the ages.👍

One of the best live games for atmosphere I’ve been too. So glad I brought my kids.

We were 19points behind at one point weren’t we? Which is like 30 in those conditions, then our forwards just steam rolled them and the backs were handling like it was the middle of summer and Plummer was kicking everything.

    One of the great comebacks.

Chiefs have paid as low as $1.50 today - big favourites.

Might be due to the Blues lacking "jacklers"?

    @Tim

    History?

The Chiefs have won 8 in a row against the Blues at home
(as usual for these terrible Blues records, you have to go back to Lam's 2011 side for the last win)

There's been improvements under MacDonald but I still think we are underdogs when travelling

    I only bet for $

Though I hate any prick who bets against the AB's as a "hedge" or because there is supposed value.

    Backing the AB's to lose is not a win-win, it's a lose-lose every time.

I agree but backing the Blues turns you into a Jafa. Instantly. And it takes spells and rituals to remove.
