In the meantime the work around is to switch to "Oldest to newest" sorting like a normal civilised person

Isn't 'oldest to newest' easier to read? Were you on that other setting deliberately?

don't remember ever selecting it. and it just took me to the last post i hadn't read, so was happy.

If you flip it over to the other way, you'll get the same thing but without the bug.

Anyone else get this one? Quite often in a thread I won't be able to see the detail in a bunch of posts, but instead get the little thin blue box you can see below for RL's post:
