The Crusaders are close to confirming they will play all their Super Rugby Aotearoa matches at Orangetheory Stadium in Christchurch. When NZ Rugby released the draw for the fresh domestic competition on May 11, the Crusaders and Blues had yet to secure venues for home games because both organisations were still working through the financials with their respective stadium operators. It’s now understood the Crusaders’ administrators are on the cusp of locking in a deal to play their fixtures at home, having been in dialogue with the Christchurch Stadium Trust since Covid-19 forced NZ Rugby and its stakeholders to introduce a new competition format. -

@Chris Great news that he has re-signed for 3 years and also that there is no sabbatical clause, although he has the option to take an extended break.
Barrett doesn't have a sabbatical clause linked to his new deal but there is an option to return later in a Super Rugby season if he feels the need to refresh.I hope this signing is followed by more announcements soon (all NZ franchises), because there are still a lot of players with a contract expiring in 2020 and no news about them re-signing.

I really don't. I think DC could run a back line and do his defence much closer to his best than Ritchie could as an openside compared to his best (I you get what I mean)
Only because of the contact McCaw used to take
EDIT: and I also don't want him to diminish his awesomeness that I remember. He is the greatest player ever in my mind, and coming back and playing at 75% or what ever it would be would tarnish that in my eyes.

@Hooroo And McCaw hasn't played pro rugby for 5 years, concentrating on endurance running. DC is still a pro player. That's a massive difference, not even slightly comparable situations.
