You can get a payment holiday on Sports ($31.99/month I think it is) until July 1. They aren't advertising it though. I just initiated it then with them through their 'Chat' facility as their call centre is not in operation until next week.

Just like last week, Sky Sport 1 will again broadcast some classic Super Rugby encounters.
Friday, 27 March
7.00pm: classic Hurricanes v Bulls
9.00pm: replacy of a Super 12 game between the Brumbies and Reds (Bruce Stadium, Canberra). Don't know which year.Saturday, 28 March
7.00pm: Highlanders v Crusaders. TV guide is unclear whether this again 4 classic encounters or the replay of one game (I assume it will be classic encounters).
9.00pm: replacy of the game between the Waratahs and Sunwolves from 2019Sunday, 29 March
1.00am: replay of the Super 14 game of 2010 between the Lions and the Chiefs (Ellis Park, Johannesburg)
3.00am: replay of the 2012 Super Rugby between the Stormers and Rebels (Newlands Stadium, Cape Town)And a lot of repeats of these programmes (at more civilized hours).

@Machpants said in Sky TV:
I've watched some of the 2005 Lions tour games they've shown.
Watching game 2 now, so fucking good. Hard on for DC.
DC and Nonu still playing from that team, this season
Wow. That is incredible. How long at DC been an AB in 2005?

Yep, we've now taken a sport holiday and also burned one decoder. They were dicks about it, but to be fair, 10 days ago I made some suggestions re reduced fees, extra content etc and they didn't rise to the challenge so bye bye sports.

Yeah you actually lose sports, I thought it was a offer where you keep sports and watch replays and don't pay until July 1. It's not an offer at all, it's just a sports cancellation under their terms.

I thought that too initially. It's not really a special lock-down offer as it's something you can do at anytime isn't it? They're going to shed subscribers during this period like a sheepdog loses fur in the Sahara so you'd think they'd be a lot more flexible to keep people on the hook: much easier to offer something for less pro-actively and then get people paying again later, than to lose a subscriber completely and have to try and re-sign them. TBH if Food TV doesn't spin my wheels enough short-term, we may drop it altogether and then when sports start up again I'll just pay for the app and cast it.

That's the thing isn't it!! They are haemorrhaging customers and are doing nothing to help stem that. You would think they would offer sports for free while they don't have any live sports to show.

Sky has offered free access to the Movie channels, SoHo etc which would normally cost the customer, in lieu of no live sport. While some sports-minded people might not care for that type of entertainment Sky would needed to have made the free sports offer before these alternative deals.

That's no help to those who already pay for those services.

It appears that Sky have made tailor-made offers to each individual based on the channels you subscribe to. If you have the full package, I agree that a discount should be given.
