I'm still getting it on all my devices. I was going to test on a work PC but we've got builders in who switched off the power to the PC's so I'll do that later.
I cleared the cache on my primary device yesterday.
As @mariner4life says it's fucking annoying ... it's dropped my Fern usage by at least half - so I guess you guys have been lucky.

Does anyone else have the issue?
I'm not sure. I have no problem using the forum in the same way I always do. I click on 'Recent' icon then on the 'x minutes ago' beside a user icon to go to the last post. If I click on the thread title it goes to the last post I read.

Same same. Occasionally it takes me to an older post, that looks like the most recent one I read a few times ago (as if the most recent browse didn't register), but never to the 1st post of the thread.
Maybe @mariner4life and @Nepia have been selected for the @booboo setting, for those who need to read the entire thread on each re-visit to ensure they are paying attention?

Not here.
Using Opera browser. Pagination enabled.

Done. No change.
I might try deleting my link (I've got it set to run a bit like an app) and reload

Just logged into my account on one of the work PCs and same thing - still going to start of threads or in the middle of threads if there are lots of pages (100+).
Could there be anything I've missed on the settings page of my account?
What do you click on and from where? Maybe you navigate differently to most of us?

Normally, pre the update, I just click on the Thread title and it would go to most recent, now it goes either to the first page or middle of thread. "Sort By" is set to newest to oldest.

@Duluth said in TSF upgrade 19/02:
I don't think it is a settings problem
If you navigate to the end of the thread does it remember that position the next time you go into it?
Nope.
Example 1: Clicked on the Indian Cricket Thread - it went to page 33. Clicked through three more pages to 30. Closed thread. Clicked on it again and it's back to 33.
Example 2: Clicked on Blues v Bulls thread, went to page 2. Clicked to page 1 (the most recent post). Closed thread. Clicked on it again and it's back to page 2.

I didn’t think that ever worked for me. If I clicked on the thread title it used to go to the start. Only through testing this have I found it going to the last read post (presumably according to the cache).
I always click on the far right in the time of the last post -

Oh "Newest to oldest" sorting is broken? I just changed my sort order and saw the same thing
@mariner4life I assume you are sorting from "Newest to oldest" too?

I assume so. Except it works when I click on it once I'm in the thread.

Ok that's a software bug. Nothing we have control over
We'll log a bug with nodebb. They are generally quick to react
In the meantime the work around is to switch to "Oldest to newest" sorting like a normal civilised person
Ugh ... that's just weird ... might as well just be Planet Rugby.
-
@Duluth I can't imagine trying to follow from down to up, let alone having to do it by pages. Gross!
I do occasionally get the issue with new threads where it keeps taking me to the first post everytime, but it usually comes right once there's a dozen or so posts.

That is what it’s meant to do isn’t it? Go to the most recent post rather than than last one you read (if you are reading backwards)

So I'm confused now. Do you guys click on a thread title, and the top post is the newest? So if you want to see some background you scroll down then back up?
TBH I had no idea you could even change the sort order until this thread came along. I have oldest at the top, and I hit the arrows to get to the newest posts at the very bottom of the page.
Am I doing it all wrong???
