To be fair every team has been getting away with that so far this season. Refs seem to be lenient on it.

@Crucial but then they don't develop their own players and become a super rugby barbarians team. I agree that the crowd and atmosphere is good but they need Japanese players and because they have the top league, there's really no point.

The Chiefs were originally supposed to wear their ocean garbage strip, according to RS during the week. They might be reacting to fan's disgust. If the Highlanders are using theirs solely as a clash strip, then perhaps the Chiefs have gone that way now too.
