@Smudge What does that mean, assume not official or something as I only got the reminder for Some Do...not that I benefitted
They didn't take tote (regular) betting, as they only got 4 nominations so there was only fixed odds on the race. She paid about $2 on the fixed odds.

Booooo favourites winning
-
@mariner4life Solomon came through to place @$3.00
Ricky Baker did as @Hooroo expected
-
$2 favourite after $2 favourite
Not good for the Mariners punting strategy
-
@mariner4life so if you had bet on them all, you woulda doubled your money, no?
So easy bro!

Looking forward to see how Catalyst lines up vs Alligator Blood (and others) on sat in the CS Hayes stakes.
I think there may be a bit too much hype around this NZ 3 year old BUT would love to be proved wrong and hopefully we see that on Sat. Sounds like has traveled across well and yesterdays gallop looked good. Has drawn the outside barrier but actually dont think it will be an issue given how it tends to start however they wont want it to be as sluggish as it was at Ellerslie a few weeks back.
Some good racing at randwick on sat too. Another heavy track but should be able to find some value in there

Yeah, but he looks the nuts though. He'll definitely be competitive and let's hope he chews them up. Alligator Blood though. Pretty Big Job!

@Smudge I see Some Do is running tonight, currently paying $15 for the win...
-
@taniwharugby Looks like she's being given a head start on the favourites - I like that!
-
Good weekend for the punt.
There's a decent race at the Valley tonight (I like Yogi at 2500m). Flemington tomorrow is quality, and there's a couple of good ones at Randwick.

As long as the favourites don't clean up (seems to happen less at Flem)

Yeah on the favs I think God of Thunder race 3 randy should do the biz but its drifting. Has good heavy track and first up form. Top wieght but gets a claim

@Chris-B said in Rough tips and other bets...:
Will Jordan is paying $67 to be the top try scorer in the Super rugby regular season.
Whether he'll get enough game time is a significant question, but he was eighth on the table last year from just 8 games.
Getting Will at $67 looks a bargain - Round 3 about to start and he's come in to $17.
7th favourite.
But, Sevu Reece is (rightly, in my view) at $9 and will be hard to beat.

I do wonder how many more games he will get though. Ive got a $32 bonus bet on him at $67 so hoping lots!

I'd just get on the place money. Copy That is probably the best 3yo in the country. He may be 10m behind her but he'll be tough to beat if he steps away properly. I'll have a small nibble on the win as well but not a huge one. It's a pretty smart field.
