Bang on Jezza!
Beyond belief.

I am over Ross Taylor in the T20 format, he ust bottle sit time and time again and resorts to be a reallly good block/slogger. And his slogs are so preditable. Alway a heave over mid wicket.
Not any better choice around, but no other player would get away without criticism over a strike steadily decreasing during an innings.
His innings n the last T20 was bloody horrendous -

We won something, the toss.
I think that I will leave it at that and have a good day rather than watch...
(of course I'll watch but I wish that I didn't want to - it is masochism seeing them play). -
it is amazing how quickly we have reverted as Black Cap fans. One terrible summer and we've dropped back to no comments on match threads
anyway, as i don't actually get to watch the games, can someone please tell me what flavour of pies it is the Bennett serves up?

Appears to be mince and cheese
The malaise returning is one reason Taylor escaped the criticism Baron rightly raises so far. By game five of that T20I series the shit list was that long that the old Black Craps βso, how will they find a way to lose this one?β resigned shrug of the shoulders was well and truely back...
Can anyone remember a Black Caps coach taking a break mid series before (at the insistence of David White or otherwise)? Let alone in an England/Oz/India/Oz summer?
I have a memory that Darren Lehman may have done so for the canary yellow once, but I donβt think we have.
-
@Donsteppa I don't recall it and I don't see why it's needed. There are heaps of breaks between tours to recharge - how many days between finishing in Oz and the start of the Indian tour?
When April comes Stead can have a month off! Must think he's Jurgen Klopp!
All that said, I'm not particularly distraught with our results against India, so far. It is frustrating not to have got over the line against them once - given the number of openings we created, but as KP points out they're significantly better than us. In the T20s we were without Boult, Ferguson, Neesham and (probably) Henry - and Little Kane for the last couple. We're basically p[laying the cream of the IPL's Indian players with a bunch of guys who, at best, warm the benches for the IPL teams - along with quite a few who don't have a sniff at getting a contract.
Still without Boult, Ferguson, Henry and Little Kane for this one - so basically our premier batsman and first choice seam attack. We don't have the depth to absorb those sorts of losses - no-one does, not even the Aussies, but us less than most.

@Chris-B So negative!
355 looks the number.
I predict we will start out ok, a little slow, but ok. A quick couple of wickets will see all our eggs with Rosco, who will score 42 from 51 then get out to a mistimed shot played across his pads. Middle order will show some fight and Southee and Santner will score 25 each to get us though to a very respectable 225, a mere 125 runs short of a famous victory.

2 main strike bowlers did well...

347/4. Piece of cake. Lol I can't even type that with a straight face.
May I ask what the FARK Bennett is doing in this team? Seriously? BENNETT??? Also, for the senior bowler, Southee was entirely too expensive. Only bowler with a not terrible return was CdG.
