What are you listening to, right now................

i fucking hate Skynard. Irrationally. I hate Free Bird. Sweet Home Alabama can go fuck itself as well. Classic rock staples i can't stand. Throw in Hotel California as a classic rock staple i can't stand as well.

Yeah been thinking and I cant narrow it down much as I just like too much music. One of the best things about my daily gym sessions is that I get an hour uninterrupted of quality tracks and full noise.

Still prefer a lot of older stuff, yes Tim the stuff I listened to in my teens and 20s.

Had a quick at my spotify and its all stuff like Pantera, Fear Factory, Misery Loves Company, Black Sabbath, Machinehead, Papa Roach, Korn, The Offspring (so so many great tracks), Pearl Jam, Shihad, Bush, Candlebox, Fugazi, Tool, Grinspoon, Linkin Park, Sepultura plus a lot of NZ stuff like Muckhole, Nothing at all, Sommerse

More recent stuff I listen to are the likes of Six60, Tahuna Breaks, Shapeshifter, Calvin Harris, Major Lazar, Skrillex, Netsky, the Naked and the Famous, so quite different to the above.

Favourite song ever is even harder but Mr Brightside always gets me going
-

Tool's cover of No Quarter is pretty epic... :)

Ænima is my favourite album of all time. Love every song and still listen to it coming up 20 years (shit!) after it was released. -

Oh wow. Thats the end of a rock icon if ever there was one. Surprised he made it to 70. Reading about this, turns out it was an extremely aggressive cancer, and he was only diagnosed on boxing day.

Listening to this interview now. He sounds like he's 170.

Thanks for that, I'm not a tool fan but their version of No Quarter is great. -

No. First Phil Taylor and now Lemmy.

A Jack and Coke in your honour my friend.

<a class="bbc_url" href="

The Atlantic has a link to the Motörhead Facebook page and there's some awesome stories being posted there. My favourite so far is the guy who went out to drink legally for the first time and ended up in the same bar as Lemmy. He told Lemmy it was his birthday do Lemmy ended up shouting him his first drink in a bar . -
Fuck. I thought Lemmy was gonna live for ever. Saw the classic Kilminster, Taylor, Clark line-up a few times. Could never hear properly afterwards. I guess we all get Killed by Death in the end!

It will be a sad, sad day when the last of the indestructibles - Keef and Ozzy join him. It's an old cliche but they don't seem to make them like that any more. -

Very sad news. I saw Motorhead many times since early 1980s and have the hearing loss to prove it. Pic below I took in the mid-1990s at a show where I'd briefly met him earlier that afternoon. I was in awe and mostly speechless, because what can you say to a living god?

RIP Lemmy.

Very nice tribute on WWE Raw last night, too.
-

True. But then gargling razor blades daily takes it's toll on the larynx. So does growling ferociously into a microphone at that ridiculous godforsaken angle Lemmy "sang." Don't forget the Joker.
-

Should have mentioned, walking up Queen Street in Auckland in 1985, saw a scraggly lookin' dude with a Motörhead tattoo across his neck/throat.

It was at the same time the coolest and stoopidest tattoo I'd ever seen.

(Presuming he's still alive, maybe some of you fellas have also sighted him?)
