Ricky Gervais At Globes

@Salacious-Crumb said in Ricky Gervais At Globes:
Rosanna Arquette is nuts, but she did have a pair of chart-toppers written about her, and After Hours is still one of the best films of the 1980s.
Which were the chart toppers?

@Bones I think the writer ( I didn't even look) is actually being earnest here 😕
"Presenting Gervais, like a teenager acting up to shock his parents, is a step in totally the wrong direction. It sends out the message that Hollywood is a place with no morals or respect, where true talent can be exchanged for a few expletives and where the big issues hide in the corner while the village idiot dances under the big, bright spotlight."
A hidden talent for satire perhaps

Brilliant.
If there’s a place for cheap humour, it’s at Friday night work drinks after one too many, an episode of South Park or in a best man’s risqué speech It’s certainly not on the stage that birthed the #MeToo movement, one that should respect its power for mass influence.
Is this what they mean by that?
My daughter, Misty Upham, was a victim of rape by a Weinstein Executive in 2013 at the Golden Globe Awards. The rapist forced her into the men’s room and had his way while other men in formal wear cheered him on as if he were chugging a beer in a contest. As Misty made the walk of shame back to the event, the Exec was given high fives, bragging rights and another notch in his Weinstein Co. belt.
FFs, the independant is a sad joke. There's an article in it in 1993 by that dishonest old fool Fisk that is held up by the left as an evidence that Western governments saw Bin Laden as an ally , I heard Kyle Kulinski quoting it the other day

This is the gift that just keeps on giving.
Starting to get quite optimistic about 2020. Reckon the tipping point has come and sanity might just start to prevail.
