@Cyclops do you think it's more even this year? Feels that way, no team really standing out and dominating.

Should be a tasty playoff series

Maybe a bit. The Pats and Chiefs have both regressed which makes the AFC look a lot more open, plus the Ravens have broken out.

NFC North has stepped up too. Both the Packers and Vikings are playing up to their potential so everything is a lot more likely.

NFC West is about the same, with the 49ers break out offset by the Rams regression.

Agreed that the playoffs look great this year.

Drew Brees doesn't really look like a professional footballer, but shit he's good

    His stats today?

    29/30 307 yards, 4 TDs

Saints have 427 yards for the day

Another week another 49ers game that is a nailbiter.

Rams eliminated from playoff contention and it sets up an enormous Seahawks-49ers game next week.

some dude on an NFL forum i read

"The Bengals drafting a QB #1 overall is like the Star Wars prequels. You don't know exactly the journey, but you do know it's going to end up with the main character beaten up so bad if he ever takes his mask off he'll die"

    That's pretty good.

College football playoffs yesterday were good, in different ways.

LSU were amazing in just destroying the Oklahoma defense (who were admittedly missing a couple of their star players). It was done and dusted after a 49-point first half.

The 2nd game between Ohio and Clemson was a beauty. Ohio jumped out of the gates to a 16-0 lead, before Clemson finally woke up. Clemson won after an interception in their end-zone inside the last 40 seconds.

last day of the NFL regular season throws up the LOLs

As has become tradition, The Evil Empire lose their game to the Dolphins, and in doing so lost their first round bye.

The Browns prove that it doesn't matter who they sign, they will always be the Browns, by losing to the fucking Bengals.

Playoff bound teams the Vikings and the Bills both lose to sub .500 teams.

@mariner4life I enjoyed it. Bought Sky Sport Now so I could watch on delay, and it delivered. Both good games.

Some tasty stuff today, anything where the evil empire loses makes my schadenfrauden laden ass happy 🙂

LSU have had an amazing season. Their high powered offence is unmatched.

After the back to back wins over Auburn and Alabama I had to dust out my old purple and gold Tigers t-shirt. They can win it all and have the perfect season.

    Holy shit.

For seemingly the millionth week in a row the 49ers game comes down to the final play.

49ers win @ Seattle for the first time since 2011 to take the #1 seed and the divsion.

    Fuck yeah!!

@mariner4life they got within an inch if winning that game. Fantastic way to finish the regular season.

Wilson seemed amazing and also terrible at times, what a player though, carrying the team to being so close to victory.

Pinnacle sporting competition. Even better that the Patriots lost and Alabama are nowhere near a playoff

So playoffs are set, so what's everyone's pick for the superbowl? My pick is Ravens-Saints, with the Saints winning a shoot out.

For Saints to get to the Super Bowl they have to do it without a bye and by going through Lambeau Field in the divisional round to even get to the NFC title game. No easy task.

It's firing season in the NFL

The Browns, Panthers, and Redskins had already fired their coaches. As noted below, the Browns fired theirs at the final whistle of their final game.

The Browns also fired their GM.
    The Giants fired their coach
The Bears fired nearly all their assistants
The Dolphins fired the OC and O-Line coach.
    The Jaguars fired their coach.

The Redskins already hired ex-Panther coach Rivera.
