good stuff mate - started weights again here too - mate's got the home gym set up again, and lloving it, three days in a row, and body knows about it!! Still rowing hard out, and adding weights on top of that, so will be interesting to see what happens to the body with this sort of regime!!
[/quote]

I've purposely been avoiding this as everytime I post in here I either get slack or injured. I thought I would give it a few weeks before noting what I have done.

Really ebjoying the weights again. First time I've done them properly since 2000. When I say properly, I'm not trying to build bulk, just trying to to and get some consistancy again.

I am really surprised at how weak my right leg and left arm are.

Boxing today and there were an uneven number. The instructer walked up to me and said that as I was the fattest, I had to keep the gloves on for the whole time.

I seriously thought I was going to have an Asthma attack. By the end of the class, a five year old school girl could have mugged me

Just completed two weeks of weights as I try and build up my knee. I have also done a stack of upper body as well. It amazes the difference just two weeks can make. Been keeping up with the exercise as well.

Not doing super heavy weights, just doing medium wieghts but really slowly controlled in both directions. It really takes it out of me and I find it much harder than quickly pushing out high reps on heavy weights.

it's as much mental as physical too this weights fitness thing I reckon. And when you start losing the fat too, then it is just all good. And sleeping at night, no problem, to exhausted to stay awake!!

Went to the Gym 6 times last week and played squash on top of that. 3 rows and 2 boxing sessions as well as weights through the week.

That's 2 weeks running and I got up early this morniong for a 40 minute row but didn't have the energy to complete it, so went on a bike as well.

The funny thing is that I feel heaps better and have maybe lost a little round the face but, I'm sure I have put weight on as a pair of jeans that fit two weeks ago no longer fit. Can't think why though.

they went through a hot wash and hot dryer...??

some one is playing a prank and subbed a smaller pair of jeans in...?? Now that would be funny.

Ahh, no idea really, have you put on wiehgt? Or is it just slipping down your body and you'll have fat ankles next week and your shoes won't fit, and then it'll drop off and you'll be fine!!

This week has been good apart from my Birthday evening.

All of my eating portions are smaller. Hank Marvin most of the time, but supplement hunger with Fruit or different types of Vege sticks.

Next week is going to see me go to the Gym ten times (Weights before work and Cardio at Lunchtime) + will probably get at least one game of squash in too.

If it is fine on Sunday I will most likely go for a run

Jesus Christ - you're a man possessed! Going to the gym 10 times is a monster effort, I'mm most impressed. Now that I've finished the marathon I'm going to the gym again. Aiming for 3 weight sessions (Mon, Wed, Fri) and a run on Thursday at the gym then outside on Saturday (if I don't have a hangover). Play a full game of 11-a-side soccer on Sunday. That's more than enough for me!!

Keep up the good work Hooroo.

Cheers. Managed the gym 6 times last week plus a squash game. But this week I have been watching my food intake.

Yes, I read (on the London gathering thread) that you'd been watching your food intake this week. In particular, watching an entire bucket of KFC (and chips) disappear before your very eyes!! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> The dangers of drinking and getting hungry!
