Ended dead even for the day thanks to the sensationally named Wings of Pastrami.
Hope your night was still a thrill @Smudge

@mariner4life not really..got mashed by the SkyCity pokies just to rub it in.
No complaints about Some Do, who tried hard but was too far back. Need You Now, however, was disappointing. Yes, she worked a bit to find the lead but the first half of the last mile was very slow so she has no excuses. At least, until we hear what her excuse was.

Hardly punted the horses yesterday but what I did was very mixed results wise
Made a few thousand on sevens tho, both international and local. Bookies really struggle to get the lines right and can get some good ones when the first open. Then they often move as much as 10-15 points by game time as money comes and other results come in

Back on the horse, so to speak.
Miss Graceful in R9 at Addington this afternoon. Won easily on debut then lined up in a Sires Stakes heat a few weeks ago. She was heavily backed but after sitting parked, she dropped out. However, her blood counts were out after the race so forgive her that run. Each way chance today but I wouldn't be surprised if she won.
Some Do backs up in R8 at Alexandra Park tonight. Small field but includes some useful types. She can figure in the finish too if near enough on the turn.

GL smudge!
Have you guys been playing this TAB promo for the darts? $30 bet to pick winning match score and regardless of outcome you also get bonus bets to the value of the first checkout in the match. Been 3 so far and were $83, $60 and $76 which are great considering can be anywhere from $2 to $170.
Match scores hard to pick but 2/3 so far. Todays is tough so I've hedged out with a bet on 365 meaning the bets wont actually cost me anything but I wont get any profit either other than the bonus bet.

@mariner4life Paid $9.40 on the tote, I think- but, I only got $6 because I backed the fixed odds earlier.

@Smudge Piece of piss for Miss Graceful!
Nice work my man!
That was remarkably easy. I should stop getting too excited about my horses but they're pretty useful!
I might almost have enough to buy into Mulligans now.

fuck that's mean!!

Well, since it's Christmas - are you guys old enough to remember Lord Module?
He was a stroppy bastard - inclined to break hopelessly if you had money on him - but, when he put his running shoes on he was the harness racing equivalent of Usain Bolt.
This is just a legendary line-up of horses in the Allan Matson Free-for-All...
And an earlier NZ Cup

@Smudge congratulations good results today for sure!

I was just reading Sydney Morning Herald year-in-review for racing and they mentioned the Frankie Dettori balls-up in The Cup; which reminded me (again) of his cockup in the 1998 Breeders Cup Classic. That race is the biggest Open championship race in America, and at that particular year was the richest prize in world racing and was arguably the best field in the history of that race (link below). And jeebuzfuck does Frankie pooch the whole thing!! (He’s aboard SWAIN - the Godolphin horse in the blue silks.) WTF is he doing with the whip??!! Most of the time he’s great, maybe the best in the world, but geeze does he find the right occasions to pull some of the biggest brainfarts in world championship racing.
If you’ve never seen... and you really need to see the stretch replays with your jaw on the floor...
LONG VERSION (INCL. PRE- AND POST RACE) (Race begins after 21 min mark):

Love the race caller announcing the winner (what a great name!!) at the tape.
