My son has been doing that to me for years. Next year should be his first year actually pushing in scrums (Under 12).
-
@Daffy-Jaffy loved the comment:
Important to start them scrumming young or they’ll become backs.
TR Jnr and I do that as a scrumming exercise (he is a prop/hooker) to get his core stability and technique, although I dont let him win!

Unlucky but clumsy.
Red card by the guidelines.

What do you think the ref decided/should have decided?
This is what the ref decided:
:::
The ref disallowed the "try". The reports in the media differ on the reason why the ref disallowed the try, but this is what Law 8.20 says:
If the team indicates to the referee the intention to kick at goal, they must kick at goal.
The intention to kick can be communicated to the referee or signalled by the the arrival of the kicking tee or sand, or when the player makes a mark on the ground.:::
-
@Stargazer yeah, what you said. That rule has been around since i was playing U21s because we tried it, and the ref instantly said "no dice"
-
Correct decision by the ref, especially as the kicking tee is used.
I've had this discussion at games where a player could point "towards" the post but say to the ref they aren't having a kick for goal. This is very different as they aren't kicking from a tee.

Nipped there and then.

According to a media release from Toulon, Nehe Milner-Skudder has - with agreement from the club - decided to spend the rest of the 2019-20 season on his rehab. He'll join Toulon in the (European) Summer of 2020 and play for them during the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons.
That injury to his left shoulder still stopping him from playing!
-
So, which Kiwi team needs a coach? And who wants him?
Jason O'Halloran is returning to NZ at the end of the 2019-2020 Pro 14 season.
-
@Stargazer I wouldn't be annoyed at this. O'Halloran is a Canes man and seems very switched on, he's done his yards as an assistant and probably deserves a crack. I feel it will be between him and Chris Gibbes for the role.
