@mariner4life Liverpool now has a run of mid to lower table teams through to Christmas, while Man City has a run of tricky fixtures.
I'll be surprised if Liverpool aren't further ahead of City by Christmas.

Has the PL ever been decided so early?? Even at the height of Man U in the late 90's early 2000's??
Ever multi you put on should land on Liverpool to win as a % boost

It's November. There are 26 games to go. Nothing is even close to being over.
Yes, Liverpool have a nice gap, but there are soooo many points on offer still.
The next 5 games could be telling though.

@Hooroo Let's see what M4L has to say about that!
@mariner4life is irrelevant with silly superstition. Liverpool, hands down, have this tied up.
fuck up! just worry about a Europa Cup spot after you sack another manager.
Mid table mediocrity for us this season. Already resigned to it after the board came out and back Emery. We are a shambles

a total shambles. What is happening at that club? Big club, great stadium, high revenue, and yet have just fallen in a heap.

Who knows? Happens to most clubs I guess. Look at Man U now, Liverpool in part of the early 2000's.
Just some rubbish decision making. The thing is we will likely lose our two best players if this keeps up

Feels like a post Wenger power struggle. I think Gazidis has gone now but he was clearly maneuvering to set up Misinlat as a director of football. But after Gazidis left Misinlat started losing influence, leading to him leaving as well. Emery looks to have all the cards now but can't really play them that well.
-
What date did Liverpool have an 8 pt lead last season?
As to Arsenal, Emery still hasn't addressed the biggest problem - defence. If signing Luiz was the answer I don't know what the question was!
Feb
But it was a claytons 8-points because City always had a game in hand. Then we drew with West Ham, lost to City, and bang, we were down by 1. Liverpool won out to do their part, problem was, so did City.
-
@mariner4life "Claytons"! Did anyone ever actually try it?
-
@Chris-B
Poor old Claytons. A drink well ahead of it's time.
When it came out drink driving was still socially acceptable (as long as no one got hurt) and the concept of a social drink without getting even slightly pissed was a weird one.
Now there are premium non-alcoholic drinks that are quite trendy. The gins are actually quite nice and alternating between them and a real G&T on a long session is a viable alternative. -
Just watched some football,
My first football viewing* since I don't know. I guess last season had Premier League Highlights show on Prime?
My, oh my. VAR, WTF?
Who cares if someone's toe is or isn't offside.
VAR is crying out to be limited to goal-line technology. With captains challenge for any thing missed on field. Like cricket. Lose it if wrong. So you'd hope challenges are used only for glaring errors, admittedly would also be used for late minute desparation. But only a madman would be risking a challenge on a 27th minute potential offside toe.
Coming in cold, with no exposure to any gradual VAR-creep that more regular watchers may have become accustomed to and are now frogs in boiling water. I can give the definitive decision that the Premier League version of VAR is shit.
