Hahaha. The President of SA just trolled the UK Prime Minister:

    Subtlety not his strong point

Neither is his memory when it comes to cricket.

I really haven't seen much of the Boks in 2019, missed most of the rugby championship, but assumed they had a solid side with their thrashing of the Wallabies and draw with NZ. They looked good in patches vs ABs, but were very average against Wales. A solid pack who will hold their own, 9, 10, 12 looked pretty handy then nothing beyond that, The ball skills of the back 3 were dreadful, virtually every high ball that they had to contest was dropped, quick, but little power, little penetration, they just didn't look dangerous when they got the ball out wide. I expect SA to play a kicking game, but if they can't challenge for the ball without knocking it out, it's just going to hand the game to England.

De Allende went well, but the the Welsh defence was ordinary when he scored his try. He will most definitely be targeted and nullified. England will have to play really shit to lose this.

World Rugby taking the piss. Hopefully they've "made a deal" and Garces retires after this.

Lord help us on that! The TAB will have to hastily redesign the optioins for first stoppage in play to include yellow card and red card as alternatives. Oh just thought of another one - a field invasion by Piet van Zyl to discuss a contententious missed call disadvantaging the Boks.

    What a joke.

Expect a very dubious refereeing judgement to determine the result because obviously everyone has come to watch the referee.

Nah, entirely predictable. The first French ref for the final. He's old by refereeing standards.

Amazing what giving a red card to an All Black will do to your career.

I am going make my most controversial post ever...

I don't know if I want South Africa to win world cup. There I said it.

Don't get me wrong, I'll bollocking for them come Saturday and will be go ballistic if they win, but I think it will be bad for the game in globally and in South Africa if they win.

Rugby in South Africa has been a shitshow for about a decade now with probably the worst administrators of any sport anywhere in the world. A season where we fall over the line in the Rugby Championship and the World Cup will I think convince the powers that be that they can continue with this shit and all will be alright.

They are already starting with that process with Rassie step down as coach to focus on his role as director of rugby for SARU. The issue is that I can't see anyone taking reigns of Springboks while having a backseat driver sitting at the head office managing the team from afar.

On the other side we have England whose national team has been very very good in this four year cycle. Success that has been built on very good junior teams over the last decade.

The biggest issue I would have with England winning is that it would make Owen Farrell happy, and that is just to ghastly a proposition, so go Bokke.

You are right about one thing in your post - it is controversial.

    Some points to note:

    1. Rassie is stepping away from the coaching role at HIS request. He never wanted the job and only took it on as an ambulance-job.
    2. If you think SA NOT winning the title on Saturday will make the administration do even a single thing different as a result of that, you really need to get me some of that stuff you're smoking.

You are though correct about a second thing in your post: SA rugby administration has been piss-poor, mentally challenged and politically undermined for some period. That is a sad fact.
But none of that will be forced to change if we get the silver instead of the gold on Saturday - so you may as well support wholeheartedly. Our struggles will still be there on Sunday, regardless of the result.
