@Duluth Convenient.
If you can't see the tongue in cheek humour in this, (even @Nepia who is Hawkes hardcore appears to see the lighter side of this), then you are a bit humourless.
I see no humour in this!

@Stargazer said in Mickey Mouse Final: The Bay vs Hawkes:
@Hooroo I can see the humour in the banter; not in changing thread titles and the tag. Especially, because that only seems to go one way.
It'll go the other way when Hawkes win over The Bay. Equal opportunity banter.
-
@Stargazer said in Mickey Mouse Final: The Bay vs Hawkes:
The thing is, I don't mind the banter. If the moderators hadn't (ab)used their privileges to change things, you wouldn't have heard me about it.
Is it abuse, if one of the owners of the damn website, that none of us pay for, makes a change?
EDIT: I think you're great for this website but chill out a bit dude and roll with it.

@Stargazer said in Mickey Mouse Final: The Bay vs Hawkes:
@Hooroo IMO, yes, if it is not about removing rude language that affects advertising etc or other inappropriate behaviour from posters.
@Duluth @Kirwan Please don't pick up your ball and go home with it
-
@Duluth said in Mickey Mouse Final: The Bay vs Hawkes:
inappropriate behaviour - not accepting consequences from the battle of the bays
Relax. We used to have word censors across the entire site to set "Bay of Plenty" --> "Of Plenty" etc
If the software allowed it we still would.
If he keeps complaining I'm going to write my own plugin to add it back.

With no basis in anything, I'd always assumed it was Ranfurly Shield rules.
Meaning that you keep it for the rest of the year...just saying.
Those rules will work against us one day in the future I imagine. Thus the vital importance of not losing to Hawkes is written into the Bay coaching job description...

Personally, If you guys come second, I think the rugby world will be referring to your lot as 'of Plenty'.

Like you'd give up the Ranfurly Shield under the same circumstances

It's not like you're playing for a decent title. All you are playing for is to play against more of the same teams next season. It's no thrill

There is a trophy though.
We wore that with our beers, this time last year.

Can't be that important, you haven't even hit 50% of wins since the NPC restructure. (Hmm, probably should have checked the results of every year before making this claim).

If you're feeling a bit left out, like you can't contribute, Magpies captain Ash Dixon is from Chch originally ....
