The Tui play their last round robin game today. Otago is also unbeaten this season, and tops the table (better points differential). It would surprise me if they don't meet each other again in the Championship Div Final again in three weeks. Unfortunately, the game isn't televised or livestreamed.

I think you are being a trifle over optimistic in hoping the game might be televised. Look at the venue, I doubt if they even have power there let alone enough capacity to conduct a live screening.

Bugger, the Tui lost their last game to Otago and missed out on a bonus point. That means they'll finish 2nd in the Championship after the round robin.

Otago was leading 24 - 12 at half time, but the Tui came back and led 26 - 24 until the 74th minute, when former Tui player Teilah Ferguson scored two tries in succession. When she scored her first, the Tui had one player in the bin for a high tackle.

The ref's arm only seemed to know one way in that second half (I didn't see the first half) and missed quite a few things. Some calls against the Tui were questionable in my one-eyed opinion.

The Tui weren't bad, but the Otago backs were good and took their opportunities better.

Scorers for the Tui: Forne Burkin 2, Tori Iosefo, Niamh Jefferson tries; conversions Sylvia Bockman 3.

    FT: Tui 26 - 34 Otago

According to the draw, there are quarter finals next week. Not sure how that works with only 6 teams or what the point is of quarter finals in such a small competition. 🤔 At least, the Tui should play at home based on their 2nd spot.

    Half time: Tui 27 - 21 Northland

The Tui 10 missed all her 4 conversion attempts, even an easy one. The others were more difficult, because the tries were scored in the corner. Krysten Cottrell nailed the last kick.

Liana Mikaele-Tu'u is an amazing talent. It won't take her long to crack the Black Ferns, I think.

Far from a perfect game, esp on defence, but the Tui have made the Final! They beat Northland 46 - 31.

Mikaele-Tu'u, Brough & Baker the stand-outs for the Tui; Subritzky-Nafatali and youngster Bodman excellent for Northland.
