NFL 2015

He could always try the CFL.

Tbh anyone watching the NFL saw this coming this week. The head coach who's name I can't remember is panicking because he's probably going to be fired after one season and couldn't wait for Hayne to develop.

Hayne back in the NRL in 2016 is my guess. Other option is he signs a one year deal to play 7s for Aussie.

Tomsula is drowning, Baalke should be fired, the only reason why York is safe is he owns them. Does Hayne still get his money? -

Probably a certain % but I doubt he will get all of it.
-

Oh hell yes. Salaries are peanuts (comparatively, maybe a Super Rugby salary), the final (Grey Cup) is still traditionally the biggest TV audience annually, and it's a good place to get your foot in the door making a career transition to professional wrestling. (Hey, it worked for The Rock.)
-

Isn't it strictly contract? Was watching a doco on some Aussie punters over there and they were week-to-week propositions. One guy shifted among three teams in one season, basically as a backup. Lived out of a suitcase but rented these massive fucking houses with what he earned.
-

Punters and kickers are usually paid on a week to week basis but Hayne was a running back and there are probably incentives he earned (like making the match day squad etc).

-

It is all falling apart for the 49ers. Not only did they lose Bush for the season on one of the first punt returns (what was he doing returning punts when he's the starting RB?), they lost back up RB Mike Davis as well and Hayne's replacement was useless.

Doubt they will win another game this season. If one of their rivals really wants to fuck the 49ers over they'll claim Hayne who knows the play book (although that isn't much) but more likely he is re-signed immediately after clearing waivers. Odds are hot that the head coach will be fired in the next four weeks imo.

Crazy day in the NFL. Drew Brees beat Eli Manning in a shoot out with 7 TDS (!) to Eli's 6, Aaron Rodgers was held to only 77 passing yards, Le'veon Bell looks done for the season with a knee injury while Steve Smith is done for his career with a knee injury, and the Denver Broncos seem legit contenders despite Peyton finally showing his age.
-

The most un-Denver (in the current guise anyway) victory ever. no passing touchdowns, 3 rushing touchdowns, a guy rushing for over a hundred yards, and a defense that only gave up 14 first downs and 167 yards (and forced a safety).

Hayne really was a convenient scapegoat for a fucked team, and look how that played out.
-

The ACC sacked the on-field officials, apparently there are 2 fouls not called that should have negated the play. Fucking killjoys.

-

And a 9-minute review apparently!

That is typical for the currrent Broncos. Peyton Manning is physically broken
-

340-yards against the previously unbeaten Packers says bullshit

They really do look awkward when having to adlib.
-

Some BIG 49ers news today:

- Colin Kapernick is benched in favour of Blaine Gabbert. Blaine Gabbert. You know you've been sucking when Blaine Gabbert replaces you. Might be time to start scouting Stanford's Kevin Hogan and Michigan State's Connor Cook for the next draft.

- TE Vernon Davis is traded to Denver Broncos with a 7th round pick for a 6th and 7th round pick. Great player in his time and deserves a shot at a title.

- Jarryd Hayne clears waivers and is signed to practice squad while two journeyman RBs are signed.

- Coach is still not fired.
-

The guy is on a hiding to nothing. He has skills (He played his part in getting them to two NFC title games and a SB), he is not the finished article. But all of the shenanigans in SF have had a detrimental effect on his confidence and his development. You don't just turn to shit overnight and he did a little more than take an armchair ride during their run
-

Yeah but CKap hasn't done much to improve his style. He should be slowly moving in the Cam Newton direction but appears to have rested on his laurels after the SB appearance and his passing game has suffered badly because of it.
-

How do we know this? All I know is that he spent his offseason training with Kurt Warner to upskill. We are no the outside looking in but that should suggest he is trying. With Davis going the fire sale of his weapons continues. Perhaps Boldin is next?
