#ManuSamoa Number 8 Afaesetiti has been ruled out of the rest of the Rugby World Cup with a knee injury. Coach Vaeluagaomatagi Steve Jackson said “We are absolutely gutted for Afa. We will miss him as he is a great man.” The coaching group is considering its options on who will be called up to join the Manu Samoa Rugby World Cup campaign. -

USA Eagles prop David Ainu’u has gone home to continue his recovery from an injury sustained against England. He has been replaced by Chance Wenglewski.

Jordi Murphy To Replace Jack Conan In Ireland Squad (29/09/2019)
Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt yesterday announced that Jack Conan sustained a foot injury and has been ruled out of the rest of the Rugby World Cup. It has been confirmed today that Ulster back rower Jordi Murphy has been called up. The 28-year-old Murphy, who played at the 2015 World Cup, will arrive in Japan today (Sunday) and join up with the squad at their new team base in Kobe. -
Unfortunately for Sean Cronin a pre-existing neck muscle complaint flared up this week and although he is expected to recover fully in a couple of weeks the time-frame means he is ruled out of the remainder of the tournament. Uster and Ireland hooker Rob Herring has joined the Ireland squad in Tokyo.
