Made it to the next hotel to see the second half. Disappointing to have given up a GF seat for the RWC, but very, very happy right now. Time to get a bit pissed. 😺🍻
-
Shit game. Tigers on another level, Giants never even threw a punch.
-
Didnt expect GWS to fold that easily ,although i was half expecting us to run over the top of them late, but not that easily to be honest,
The pace of the game was red hot early and although they were hanging in there, live at the ground you could sense it was only just, then the dam wall broke and it was see ya later,
After all the years of garbage , its a fun time to be supporting the Tigers right now, Yellow and Black !!!

Marlion Pickett's a heck of a story
How good did he play?
Didn't actually watch it for the first time in years.
Was out and about and by the time I got home and turned on the tele it was something like 73-12.
Good to see he kicked a goal.

Kicked a goal, assisted at least 4 more. Repeatedly got the ball inside 50, late in the 3rd had gained the most distance on the ground. One highlight reel clearance. Not only at home, he excelled, and was playing on the ball by the 2nd quarter.

Was third in the norm smith medal count, that says a bit,
Was an amazing story, but he wasn’t your average first year player, 27, mature body, played in plenty of big games at the next level down.
Was best on ground in Richmond’s vfl premiership 6 days before. 2 premierships in a week. He must be on cloud nine considering where he has come from .

Still a great story

Two premierships in a week, life member of the club after one AFL game!
-
Hows this for your first game of AFL, not sure it could get any better
-
Yeah that was a cool story (can I sound like a wank and say 'narrative'?)
The comms - more McAvaney getting exciyted than anyone else - were talking him up as a chance at the Norm Smith at one stage.
As good as he was though, you're not going to get an easier AFL GF to debut in.
I couldn't believe by 11.30am yesterday, RS hadn't even mentioned the result let alone talked about the game, let alone had an Aussie correspondent on. I texted in and they read it out as if it was the fucking story and couldn't add anything at all to it aside from the score. Really poor, RS.

The apple doesn’t fall....
Michael Greene, 59, is accused of headbutting a female officer as he was being removed from the stadium after Saturday's game.
Police were responding to reports of a man drunk in the bathrooms.
Mr Greene appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Sunday morning facing six charges, including assaulting a police officer while in bail, assaulting an emergency worker, recklessly and intentionally causing injury to a police officer and being drunk in a public place. -

Sounds like he has been a great role model for Toby.

Massive bail-out package for the Suns, as they basically reset.
Pick 1, 2 and 20 this year
Pick 11 next year
Pick 19 the year afterAs well as some other measures like treating the entire NT as an academy, and an expanded rookie list.
Basically their whole club has to start again.

A fizzer of a game, but really fun to be at the ground.
My Mrs is a big Carlton fan and I'm a on-and-off Swans supporter, so while we were supporting GWS we weren't gutted they lost. Just annoyed it wasn't a closer game.
GWS couldn't get any run off half back, and lost just about every stoppage. The turnovers just murdered them over and over again, too.
The atmosphere was amazing, considering 90% of the crowd were in yellow and black.
Would definitely do it again.
