Battle of the Bays: Steamers v Magpies
-
Yusss, Toala in!
-
At least we got a try.
Tiatia not looking so good there ....
-
But looking good there ....
-
At least the donut is gone.
-
Tiatia and Toala must have an agreement not to tackle each other.
-
All Magpies loosies have now been replaced.
-
Try Sapsford. Another one please, for the bonus point.
-
Atrocious second half defence
-
Mathew Cooper signing the praises of the local club ground this match is being played at - clearly he's been living in the Chiefs region too long.
-
That was a rough sin binning.
-
YC for Narawa for a deliberate knock-on

Never going to forgive Laban for calling Tom Parsons "James Parsons" in the first half
I'm sure Hoani is stoked to be called Haoni Macdonald as well.
-
Hinz you pyscho. Angry little man. If that costs us the game...
-
It should have been a YC though.

Although it does seem weird to reverse a foul play penalty for a push.
But, we knew what we were bringing in with Hinz.
-
Gee that was dumb from Joel..broke momentum..crowd had gone real silent
-
yeah, his conviction was no secret.
-
Is Emerson injured out of the game?
-
@Stargazer said in Battle of the Bays: Bay of Plenty v Hawke's Bay:
@Nepia No, still there.
Who did Donaldson come on for? Or did I misread something?
-
The curse of the bounce again. Hattrick Tiatia.
-
And that folks just sums up the way the day has been going for the Magpies.
-
got our bonus points, just aiming for no injuries now
-
Duane Monkley medal points:
Tiatia 3
Karpik 2
Toala 1 -
@Stockcar86 That bonus point could prove to be very important!

Compared to Hamilton, anything is an improvment
-
Excellent, a half century for the Bay.

I assume our crowd figures might be similar? At least with our ground there's no danger of players breaking their ankles walking down through the stand.

So typical, all BoP fans ignore the naming rules until the odd time they win it and then suddenly they become sticklers. :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:
-
Yay, we won the second half
Bonus point could be vital for who'll top the table.
Apart from that, congrats Steamers and ...
flush the dunny!

They don't play cricket at the Domain in summer?
-
@Stargazer Are you sure about that as I can recall us losing the title in a preseason game a few years back pre Philpott days when we did not play them during the NPC proper?
