Geez the Knights sacking Brown looks better every week...

    Finals this weekend

    Storm v Raiders
    Roosters v Bunnies

    Eels v Broncos
    Manly v Cronulla

All of these teams can pretty much die in a fire

Actually i don't particularly hate the Eels or the Broncos (just a couple of their players).

Agree, can’t stand all of those teams. Liked Manly for a season or so but then Kevin Iro left....

I liked Manly back in the lots of Kiwis days.
I liked Canberra when they had Laurie Daley and some Kiwis.
I like Bromwich at the Storm and would have supported them back in the days when they had Harris etc.
Never liked the Broncos. Or Cronulla.
Occasionally like Easts depending on how many Kiwis they have.

Soooo is 8 weeks enough for that ugly eye gouge? Sounds as though it was on the light side?

Bit light considering he's only a couple of weeks back from a 5-gamer for the same thing

But then, in the NRL, you would have to stab someone in the face with an icepick to get more than 8 weeks

Ricky Stuart is a flog. First said it wasn't an eye gouge. Pretty much every former player in the media blew up and had a go at Hudson Young, but who does Ricky Stuart single out? Ben Ikin. Way to go after the big fish there Ricky.

Seriously, if it wasn't for this bloke, i reckon the Raiders would have a heap of bandwagon fans for the finals.

Heaps of blokes hurtin' in the sheds

At east he got suspended. Josh Maguire's a repeat offender and all he got was 2 fines. Double standards on that one.

@mariner4life haha Ricky singles out the Qlder. What an idiot.

@Nepia I liked Laurie Daley as a player too but the fact Ricky Stuart played for the Raiders during the same era meant there was no way I could ever remotely support them.

As a storm supporter , I fear the roosters ,

Storm may have finished higher on the ladder , again , due to their ability to play at a high consistent level , week in week out,

But I worry the roosters have another gear to go to, their best may be better than the storms best in a one off game

15 NRL teams have a salary cap. 1 club that may or may not be based in Sydney’s eastern suburbs has a salary sombrero.

UPSET!!!! Raiders go into Melbourne and pip the Storm 12-10 to get the bye next week.

Manly without Turbo Tommy are pumping Cronulla 18-4 at halftime. SJ has been terrible.

The Wahine Warriors get off to a good start in their WNRL competition by beating the Roosters 16-12 which is awesome because one of my colleagues plays for the Warriors.

I reckon we will get a raiders v roosters gf now ,

Raiders into a home prelim, storm into the other side of the draw where they would have to win next week, then beat the roosters in Sydney to make it .

Broncos got their beans today. Passive defence and no respect for the ball.

Sets up an interesting clash with the Storm next weekend.

In a massive shock, the team that limped in to the finals with a losing record was a bit shit. Still no excuse for that final score.

Brisbane have a shitload of work to do. They've got some good young forwards (even if a couple are a bit dim) but they have nothing in the spine. Nothing. There hooker is very average, they've got a QCup level halfback, a finished ex-fullback at 6, and a half playing fullback.

Cronulla fans have realised that just watching SJ highlight reels doesn't show the real story. They too were making up the numbers.
