Hmm, the 50/50 decisions are definitely going Otago's way.

Jackson living up to his hometown reputation.

I'm sure he completely forgot about a penalty advantage to the Poo when they knocked on.

@Stargazer agree with your coms..all the 50/50s are going to home side..to me Malcom was lifted and dumped on his shoulder/Head..and what’s the difference between a non ball receiver getting taken out and a defender being taken out..
    Absolutely nothing..!.

You could argue that Black initiated that obstruction but it didn't look right.

@Steven-Harris apparently he wasnt mentally ready...??

Yeah I heard that today too. I heard it on RS and he was rightfully criticised on air by whomever, assuming that was the case. What a fucking pussy, if true. What he's doing is tantamount to pulling a sicky after having a bad day. Possibly worse actually, given the difference he could have potentially made to this game and the effect that could have had for his team mates. Hemopo is out there, digging in, but had as much reason as Laumape to be 'mentally not ready' or whatever the terminology. Generation P.

How good has Hemapo been..?, no disrespect, but Patrick Tuipulotu would not have half the engine or the heart that Hemapo has ..

Awesome to have players like Adam Thompson and Andre Taylor back in NPC. Especially good because there are also many young rookies, who can learn a lot from these older blokes.

    Decent game so far.

@Tim given who is out there playing and how this game is going, Heartland is a bit harsh...

Manawatu lack the x-factor out wide, which has been the main difference between the teams. They have needed to be more ruthless on attack instead of settling for penalties and scrums.

I don't think there's a need to put down Tuipulotu whilst talking up Hemopo.

Tuipulotu showed plenty of engine/heart at Eden Park a few days ago and last year in Tuipulotu's first game back for Auckland he scored 4 tries vs Ta$man.

@African-Monkey just the ones that get talked up ...and there’s been a few that’s failed to deliver when it’s counted

If only Tuipulotu had delivered when it counted recently....

@KiwiMurph the All Blacks were always going to deliver given the backlash ..it’s just the consistency that been bought into question .i personally think he’s very fortunate regardless of how he performed in the Bledisloe return..If Retallick had been fully fit..I doubt very much he would be heading to Japan..
I make no apologies, I am Hemapo fan, and that’s simply because he delivers in most games no what the stage..

@Steven-Harris Is it a crime to talk up Auckland players? Do you show the same animosity when players from other provinces get talked up? Aren't you also a Blues fan with Auckland as your 2nd favourite team? Not having a go as everyone is entitled to their opinion but but it's just a strange way of thinking but I'm sure you have your reasons.

Anyway, thought Manawatu were a real chance tonight but as was pointed out, they were lacking a bit out wide. Southland could have a real shot at breaking their losing streak when they eventually meet.

Patrick Tuipulotu's engine and heart had nothing wrong with them at Eden Park for a recent "Do or Die" Bledisloe Cup game.

That said, Jackson Hemopo is a very good player indeed. 5th best lock in New Zealand (daylight after him), bit smaller & less experienced than the other options ahead of him.
