@mariner4life There's a leaguie forum I occasionally frequent and they spent two years hailing Cameron George as the messiah. They appear to have gotten over that now.

I want to blow up, but i actually find it hard to disagree with most of it. I would have Luke Lewis starting over fucking Cordner though

Is that SBW on the bench? I'm pretty astounded that two Kiwis made that team - well three if count that turncoat b'stard Taumalolo.

I've got Jamie Lyon ahead of Hodges at centre. Lyon was the most skillful and most rounded centre I've seen.

Lyon has won 4 Dally M Centre of the Year awards in this decade. Hodges only has one Dally M Centre of the Year award, but that wasn't even in this decade(2007).

@Nepia Yeah, that's SBW. Pretty good by him to make the team despite only playing 2 seasons in this decade.

RTS made the bench for the Team of the Decade 2nd XVII.

Considering he was way better than Cordner when he was back (despite the fact Cordner somehow won Dally M 2nd rower) I guess they've picked on peak form.

I'm glad Bromwich made it, can't believe how underrated (by some) he's been over the years.

Who was the starting fullback for the 2nd XVII?

@Nepia Tedesco was the starting fullback.

Yeah, I just checked out the team - Tommy Turbo and RTS on the bench and Morgan at hooker.

JWS and Matai the other Kiwis ... well I guess we can consider Matai a Kiwi aside from the fact he was usually suspended for a shoulder charge or injured from a shoulder charge whenever the Kiwis played.

Re: the Warriors, they went through several years where the players were protected species but the coaches got sacked every Monday. Now they're leaning the opposite way and they're still cellar dwellers...

Shut it all down and start from scratch?

It's everyone's fault except the people tasked with identifying players, bringing in players, preparing players, and selecting players. Oh, and deciding how we play. Fuck me dead, is this dickhead serious?

Na fair call i reckon. Injuries have played there part. I mean it is the first year any team in the comp has ever had to deal with players being injured....

fair. i mean, imagine if you will, a parallel universe where other clubs also had to deal with injuries. And on top of that, lose a heap of their best players to rep duties through the guts of the season. Imagine how high the Warriors would be then. The fact that this doesn't happen is just another unfair obstacle put in front of the Warriors by a biased Australian-centric NRL

    @mariner4life

Maybe they meant injuries to the refs and bunker?

Probably not as that's something you can plan for at the start of the season.

The bulldogs are supposed to be a club with no talent and a coach out of his depth. Watching them now they are miles better than the warriors.

They are committed, hard, they've got a bit of zip and they don't mind using the ball.

That's one of the most entertaining 12-6 games I have ever seen. Had a bit of everything including a final whistle scuffle.

Any watching the league? Haas makes a huge run to bail the Broncos out, and the darius boys dies with the ball.

The Broncos would be an infinitely better team without him

@mariner4life Yeah unnecessary cheap shot on Oates. Cook back to his best tonight with Walker and Liam Knight having a big game. Haas and David Fifita were Brisbane's best.

Warriors are pumped again, this time by Cronulla 42-16. Although this is the norm for Warriors teams this decade questions about Kearney as coach will start to make it into the media this week.

If they lose by a big score in their final home game of the season next week I except he will be gone.

It can't just be the coach when the same shit happens most years no matter who is in charge

    I now blame Tony Iro

And Kearney who is a proven failure before he got to Mt Smart

We're garbage. The squad is garbage. The game plan is garbage. We're shit to watch even when we are jagging a win.

@mariner4life Tony Iro is the first person who Brian Smith needs to fire. How he has managed to remain a coach for this whole decade (and through different ownership as well) is quite bizarre.

I would fire Iro, move Stacey Jones into the box alongside Kearney (if he is still head coach) and have a talk to Blake Green about retiring and becoming the new water boy. Then maybe sign either Sam Williams or Adian Sezer from Canberra since both are on the out there.

Also bring John Ackland back in some scouting/development role.
