Updated Counties Squad
We are proud to present our Counties Manukau U19’s Squad for 2019, what an exciting line up of players and coaching staff 🔥
All players come from our local clubs with majority having played Premier Rugby in 2019, and will be coached by former International and Super Rugby Players Isaac Boss who represented Ireland, Chiefs and Hurricanes + New Zealand U20’s Representative, Blues and Chiefs Player and Pukekohe Rugby Club Premier Head Coach Sean Polwart, and Stephen Donald - 2011 All Blacks World Cup Winner, Chiefs and Steeler.
The team play in qualifying games to rank them leading in to the National Jock Hobbs U19’s Tournament held in Taupo.
🔴 Bay of Plenty, Saturday 17 August, Blake Park, Mt Maunganui, 1.00pm Kick Off
⚪️ Waikato, Saturday 24 August, Fred Jones Park, Hamilton, 1.00pm Kick Off
⚫️ Taranaki, Saturday 31 August, Navigation Homes Stadium, Pukekohe, 1.00pm Kick Off
Tournament Games to follow; Sunday 8 September, Wednesday 11 September, Saturday 14 September.

@Stargazer 2 nz20s props already in that team. And Finlay Brewis was in the training squad until he got injured. That’s a bloody strong team. Suprised they haven’t bought in Zach Gallagher lock from Christ’s college. The guy is a enormous kid

@chchfanatic I understand that all U19 team must include a number of U20 frontrowers (even if they're not U19); I assume that has to do with new injury prevention requirements. So if a (NZ)U20 player isn't needed for the Mitre 10 Cup team, there's a good chance he'll be in the U19 team.

@Stargazer fletcher Newell was born in 2000 so that makes him under 19 I think. I’m pretty sure tamaiti Williams is still under 18. Crazy depth in props in that team

When i browsed the schools results thread this year, I was generally encouraged, and surprised
at how even the Harbour competition was this year. Rather than a Westlake cake walk.
