Very impressed by Nankiville - hard-running, no-nonsense second-five who seems to be able to read the game. The new Crotty?
@MrDenmore He's been good, but that's a bit premature haha
@Stargazer Thomson doing my head in
Despite the mistakes, the MABs play a lot better than last week. Fewer missed tackles, and the changes in the squad (Hall, Nankivell, Douglas) paying off. Wainui and Franklin also playing well.
Not sure what the rules are. The kick seemed to go to the dead ball area, but Hall tapped it back in backward and Hyland dots it down.
On-field decision is try.
Hmm. Hall's foot just on the line?
Ah, too good to be true. No try. Would have been incredible.
Half time: MABs 7 - 7 Fiji
Excellent half of rugby. Two evenly matched team's.
Nankivell really seems to have found his feet.
I guess one of those guys who started very young so that you don't realise how young he still is.
Thompson scores the try after a great pass from Hall! Deserved lead for the MABs.
14 - 7 Maori ABs
Parkinson down with an injury. Not looking good.
Hope he hasn't broken his ankle; it looked bad when that happened.
Walker-Leawere on for Parkinson; Renata has replaced Lomax.
Penalty kick for Fiji: 14 - 10 MABs
Nathan Harris and Akira Ioane coming on for Dixon and Karpik. Akira to 8 and Douglas to 7.
Great maul. Turnover MABs.
TTT on for Hall. Subbed off way too early.
Fiji under a YC warning.
Another scrum close to the Fijian try line.
Wow. Kick from Black, tapped back by a Fijian player, dotted down by Nankivell.
On-field decision is try. TMO ...
The try is awarded! If the MABs hadn't scored, Fiji would have lost a player to the bin.
19 - 10 Maori ABs after 61 minutes.
Pouri Rakete-Stones makes his MABs debut!
