Homemade mini-movie dropped on youtube a couple days ago, almost a half-million views already. Very well done tribute.
It’s looking like the entire league is holding their breath waiting for him to make his “Decision.”
What is the likely decision??
Depends on how bad he thinks his injury is. If he has concerns about it long term, he will sign with the Raptors long term since MLSE has the best sport science department in the NBA. If he thinks he will heal soon he will sign a one year deal with Toronto.
He wants to go home to LA which is understandable but as Shaq put it, why leave when you're the king of a country.
I think he will face far less scrutiny in Toronto, and it suits his personality better
That's true if he goes to LA the likes of ESPN will demand he plays every game and does a ton of indepth interviews ahead of any Clippers V Lakers game. Kawhi would hate that.

That's why SA suited his personality. He is made for small markets that love him unconditionally

Although he had the luxury of sitting behind a couple of hall of famers and a coach that despite his media persona was a front and centre guy.
Leonard’s final season, the spotlight was on him for all the wrong reasons - is he fit, will he play, how much will he play, trouble with Pop etc etc, so I guess we didn’t get to see how he would be with the limelight on him when he is fit and firing like he was for this season.

It's impossible to guess Kawhi's actions, and I'm not even going to try. But I do have an interesting hypothetical.
IF Kawhi leaves Toronto, do the Raptors retire his jersey even though he only played one season?
You can mount a pretty compelling case that they will, given the magnitude of what he achieved. But it would be amazing if they did.

Not immediately. What they won't be doing is burning his jersey a-la LBJ. I think most fans feel he delivered all that he promised

Perhaps not before they retire DeRozan’s

Rockets update: Chris Paul was questioned today and whilst he was in LA. He played the, I didn’t ask for a trade or demand a trade, line.

Reports are KD has not taken up his option, and is on the market. The free agency period just got interesting again.

Does that mean he can ask for more money from GSW?

It allows him to test the market, which is what I think the Warriors expected.

Warriors will no doubt make him a big offer unless they know he is keen on changing teams.

I remember sitting in class at high school watching PC and the crew at the FIBA world champs get to the semis.Marks getting his eye scratched in the early games and everyone else stepping up Ed book, sparky, paul, Pauro. One of my most find nz sports memories up there with the soccer world cup qualifier (and tournament), 1996 rugby your win in SA and 2011 world cup.
In was in Indy for the 2002 WC tournament. Ah, the memories.
As for Adams, Hinton's article is on the money.
These photos give you an idea of the crowd for the Raptors' victory parade.

Yeah KD will resign to max for them then be used as a trade tool later in the season most likely at least they get something out of it. They still need to somehow throw max at Klay. Oh to be a GM who has to pay80-100mil for two players who most likely won't play next season.

Talks ongoing with league owners to shorten the season. As short as 58 games (play every other team home and away). And possibly use the extra time to have a mid-season tournament, so like football (soccer) there are multiple trophies o win in a given season.
I'm massively in favour of it, 82 games + potentially 28 playoff games (+ an all star game) is WAY too long. The fact that stars sit out lots of lower-profile regular season games for "load management" is really damaging for the league. How annoyed would you be to get Lakers tickets as a one-off when travelling through LA, and only get to see Kyle Kuzma?!
Not so keen on the mid seasons tournament thing. Just have fewer games, make a bit less money, pay players a bit less. Durant would make >$50m in the last year of his max contract with the Warriors, how much money do these guys need?!
