Yes, if I want a guy who isn't going to get out in the first over of a big CWC game it is BMac.

Get Nicholls in there. The only path to victory with the bat against the big boys is Kane or Taylor scoring big runs, so put in as many guys who can conceivably bat in long partnerships with two.

I missed the first 10 runs of Kane's innings, but since then it's been a treat to watch his gentle cover drives racing to the boundary. What a player, we are incredibly lucky.

I trust Kane's pacing of it. The pitch looks a bit two paced and a new batsman is going to spend an over or two to get his eye in. I'd rather bank 80 odd in the last 10 overs cruising than shoot for 120 and risk getting 60 odd.

edit: Latham reverse sweeps the first ball of the last 10 overs, so it looks like they are going for the 120 odd.
