One of the towering figures of world rugby, All Blacks and Gallagher Chiefs lock Brodie Retallick, has signed a new three-year deal with New Zealand Rugby (NZR) and his Investec Super Rugby side which will see him take an extended break from the game in New Zealand before committing through to 2023. Under the terms of the deal announced today, Retallick will leave New Zealand at the end of the year and play two seasons in Japan’s Top League in 2020 and 2021, with an extended family break in between. He will then return to rugby in New Zealand in May 2021 and play through to the end of the 2023 season.

Wow Beaudy to the Blues. Big rumours coming through Radio Sport.
I will believe it when I see it.

Let the players decide where they want to play, don’t start telling them where to go.

Haha,
He's free to go wherever he wants.
Context is important in those posts. 2 Completely different conversations.... if Beauden grew up wanting to play for the Blues then I would have ecxpected him to sign ages ago.

@SammyC the Dude lives and breathes wellington. House – wife – dog – friends – family + unprecedented team loyalty.
Then he won't be going anywhere I assume.

be hugely surprising if he did move.
Would still need a good 9 to give him decent ball, so the Blues could ruin BB completely!
