Didn't play any test matches...I think.

8/14.

Knew 1981 but couldn't spell his name fir the life of me. Even tried his first name ... So 9 :)

Missed a the part timers through the noughties -

That was quite hard - I got 10/14. Got the 1981 one but missed 2005-2009, 2008, 2009, 2009-2010.

-

A handful of 2 metre plus guys played games only and not tests. Tregaskis was one. Richard Fromont and Jock Ross also spring to mind.

-

Conceded 30 or more points in a win.

The 2m quiz gave me some trouble. I'd forgotten a few of them even were ABs.
-

Right you are. Bad typo, will fix up forthwith.

Blitzed the old man quiz with 2.19 to spare! :)

-

Got it with 1:40 to go - the first 16 was by far the hardest. Most Bledisloe wins.

-

Here's the link to the Bledisloe one:

Got it with 2:20 left. 16 was hardest, yeah.
-

Got it and 16 was a distant last.

-
Missed one ... 16. The older 16

NH test venue cities. Requires a bit of thinking.
-

Hard! I got 13 and should of had another that I couldn't spell right.

Pendant alert - I'm not sure all of those are 'official' tests.
The Romania match wasn't an official test on NZ's part.
-
yep. 14 only
Nepia I thought the Romania match was an official test. It's in Men in Black as a test that's good enough for me!

having said that I couldn't for the life of me think of Bucharest ...

I knew of the Berkley match from back in the day but couldn't remember where it was played...somewhere in California

I got stuck on Inverleith. For some reason I couldn't get past Inverell if indeed there is such a place

Thought I typed in Manchester but apparently not. Forgot a number of England venues from various RWCs.

Was 1989 v Canada in Vancouver a test?

I stand corrected.
I made the mistake of believing my own suspicions and wiki. I wonder if they were retrospectively awarded test status?
-
Damn it's hard to talk in riddles. I'll just add the spoiler. ..

Nepia, I don't think so. As mentioned it was in my 1983 revision of MiB. That game was only a couple years prior. Even though the policy back then was tests only for matches against IRB member nations (which generally restricted it to the 7 plus composite British Isles teams).

That changed with RWC matches being tests. Hence that match in Vancouver in 1989 that i thought was missed but wasnt which occurred after the advent of RWC.
-
Seems weird that Romania got test status back then but Argentina and Fiji didn't. IIRC the ABs only played British Columbia in 1989 not Canada?
-

All Blacks website does list that game as a test.

Nice to give you chaps something tricky for a change!
-

17 easily and then ran out of steam. There were 4 more I should have got but the rest.....

-

Another heavily geography based quiz.

Present day countries where the All Blacks have played tour games. Haven't put countries in alphabetical order as that would make it too easy.

http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/83115/new-zealand-rugby-all-blacks-countries-visited
-

Missed 3.

-

missed one. I was certain we had played in sri lanka but research shows that although a NZ team did play Sri Lanka there in the first decade of the 20th century, it was the professional league side on their way to UK. Presumably the team wanted a game during their stopover and rugby was the only option.

-

I missed two, and this is how much of an idiot I am
I missed NZ and SA. :idiot2:
Dogmeat - were you thinking of the U23 team that toured in the 50s with a couple of guys by the name of Whineray and Meads?
-

And Zambia
-

Nepia - spot on. Wonder whatever became of those 2 young tyro's you mentioned.

I think one became a TV star selling farm equipment and the other joined the SAS.

WTF:
With SA I think I just forgot about them because I was trying to fill in the surrounding countries, with NZ I just assumed we were excluded ... I should have read the question properly, but I think I'm right to pretend that the internal tours didn't exist.
-

I missed your second one as well, Nepia.
