With technology now they can measure all types of stuff that's not obvious with the eye and see exactly what clubs are right for you</p>

<p>Way ahead of ya, already got a place to go and get fitted. Just wondering if there were any clubs that were way in front of the competition right now.</p>

<p>I think that was a big reason I had issues with Irons I think they were the wrong size.</p>

Again will come to personal choice, when I was at my best, Ugly arse Ping irons were the shizzle, I couldn't hit them for shit. <br><br>
When I bought a new set after not playing for 5 or 6 years, the set I got was not top of my list that I was looking at, only reason I tried them was the Pro had suggested them, and they just went better....dunno about you, but when trying a driver on the range, I always hit them good, get them out on a course if you can, try them out in a round. -
<p>Must be some golfers out there. I been hitting a Titleist 910 D3 driver, Taylormade TP Burner Superfast 3 wood, Sonartec MD 19 and 23 degree, Callaway xforged circa 2010? and 2 Titleist Wedges (52 and 56). Just purchased some Bridgestone J40 DPC irons and wedges off teh bay which have a traditional blade look with a slightly larger head. I don't change my gear much as the kids get all the money but I am jonesing for the 915 driver and 3 wood. How is this related to rugby? It's not.</p>

<p>I have Srixon 701-i , 3-p wedge cavity forged irons with a 52 and 56 Srixon wedges </p>
<p>a Srixon z star 3 & 5 wood with stiff shafts</p>
<p>and a Srixon Z star driver.</p>
<p> Great gear 5 years ago and i'm in no rush to upgrade as i reckon it has got another 10 years in it.</p>

<p>Ram cobalt 55 deg square groove spin wedge (probably my 2nd oldest and fave club, for showing off with back spin!) </p>

<p>I go through stages with golf balls, currently using srixon soft feel 4 doz for $99 at golf warehouse, i played my best golf 2 months ago with a box of pinnacle golds, one of the cheapest balls around . Prov 1's at $6-7 each are no good for me as i still tend to lose quite a few, quite regularly.</p> -

<p>Srixon Z Star XV is a good ball and a lot cheaper. So many good balls out these now including Nike and we know who plays them. </p> -

I use these too and just prefer the feel of them over pro v1s.<br><br>
Re clubs, I have a callaway razor extreme driver and 3 wood, both with stiff prolaunch shafts. Hybrid is a mashie m2.<br><br>
Irons are Cleveland cg16 blacks with Cleveland wedges in 48, 52, 56 and 60deg....more than I need really.<br>
Putter is an old school McGregor p60. Had for almost 20 years now and as much as I love it, it might be time to change as my putting is letting my game down right now.<br><br>
Handicap 10.3 -
Continuing to get out reasonably regularly (played gulf harbour mid week) and my golf has been ok for the most but today I pretty much lost it.<br><br>
Played huapai and front 9 was alright, without being spectacular. Back nine started ok then I 4 putted the number 1 stroke hole from about 2m. Bit fired up next hole which is short par 4. Was a bit angry so thought better hit the 3 wood to be safe....the bloody ball cleared the green on the full and straight OB. OK two triple bogeys in a row. Thought had cleared my head after i put a great drive straight up the middle in to a tough headwind, next shot shank in to the hazard! Dropped 8 shots in 3 holes.... And to end the day, had a crack at the par 5 18th for two. Driver then hybrid, both great shots but looked just short. Got up to the green and ball not to be found.
