Nathan Harris has re-signed with NZR and the Chiefs for 2 more years (2021):
Mobile hooker Nathan Harris has become the latest player to commit to New Zealand, extending his contract until 2021 with New Zealand Rugby and the Gallagher Chiefs. 27-year-old Harris made his Investec Super Rugby and All Blacks debut in 2014 two years after his provincial debut for Bay of Plenty in 2016. He has played 20 Tests for the All Blacks, 51 games for the Gallagher Chiefs and 29 games for Bay of Plenty.
Harris has played 16 of his 20 Tests in the last two seasons and All Blacks Head Coach Steve Hansen has welcomed the news of his re-commitment to New Zealand. “It’s great for the future of the All Blacks and the Chiefs to have someone of Nathan’s ability re-signing. He’s made the most of his time in our environment in the last couple of seasons, getting a number of Test caps, and is constantly working on the core aspects of his game, while also adding new skills.”

SHAUN STEVENSON RE-SIGNS WITH GALLAGHER CHIEFS
Gallagher Chiefs have announced today impressive outside back Shaun Stevenson has re-signed with the Gallagher Chiefs until 2023. The 22 year old debuted for the Gallagher Chiefs in 2016 against the Crusaders, a year after his provincial debut. In 2017 he won the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens player of the tournament. Stevenson’s ability earned him selection in last year’s Maori All Blacks end of year tour on which he debuted.

Rather it said Tu'inukuafe was returning!

@mariner4life Why? Does he know Cooper is standing down?

according to the radio there is gonna be an announcement about BBBR's future with NZR soon...
apparently he may not play a test next year though if the reports are accurate.
-
Stevenson signing for 4 years seems a desperate signing by the chiefs, I don't think he has shown enough to warrant a 4 year extension.I thought it would have been better giving him 1 year and make him fight harder for his contract than handing him a 4 year extension.

It feels like he's injured as often as not for the Chiefs these days. BBBR puts his body through a heck of a lot of punishment, so it'll be interesting to see how he goes over the next 2-3 years.

So he would play SR next year?
The exact opposite to Whitelock, who'll miss SR but will play tests?
-
@Stargazer if he is just going to play Super, wouldn't it be more logical for the wallet to take a double season Japan sabbatical?
-
@Canes4life Yep.
-
@Stargazer no, will play no rugby in or for NZ
