    @KiwiMurph yip and with your team mates moving out of the way and missing shots to make it happen. Rubbish.

    He is such a good player, and yes the thunder win more when he triples up but this isn’t shit man. It’s stat padding at its worst. So fucken hard watching a team that was projected to be the team to give the Warriors the most heat go to settling for probable 8th seed. Doing this type of shit. So not going at GSW with momentum by fighting their way to the west finals. But simply bundled out in a likely swept series.

    Poorly coached. Poorly led. Poorly prepared for playoffs. I’ll eat my hat if they get past round one.

    I think Adams gets traded if OKC don’t go deep. $100m could buy a pretty good perimeter shooter and a better rim protector...as much as I want Adams to stay I’d think I’d be happy seeing him in another contender where they appreciate his rebounding abilities and blossoming post game.

    @raznomore Adams' 30-points per game would be a pretty big enticer for any team aye raz?

    @mariner4life in saying that you have a guy being fed the ball for the first two quarters and scoring 13-15 points in one quarter sometimes then not given A sniff of offense for the remaining 2 quarters.

    When they run offense through him we are a better team. But old triple king stops giving him the ball. If you had an alpha coach and a smart point guard he’d at least be a 20/10 player.

    Agree with this, Adams is criminally underused on offence. At least he's getting well paid tho. He'd be an all star if he was at a franchise that used him properly.

    He's smart enough not to get infected by the disease of me. Just sit tight, enjoy his time and take the money. Great team mate to have

    Magic Johnson steps down as Lakers' president of basketball operations
    In a stunning move before the Lakers' season finale against Portland, Magic Johnson announced he was stepping down from his role as the team's president of basketball of operations. The decision comes just over two years after taking on the position in an effort to restore one of the league's most storied franchises to championship contention.

    Johnson made the announcement immediately after coach Luke Walton's pregame comments, adding that he had not yet informed team owner Jeanie Buss of his intentions to step down.

    "I couldn't face [Buss] to tell her," Johnson admitted while referring to her as "my sister."

    I don't recall him being a particularly successful coach, and his time as GM has not been great so far. The next hire will be critical, I don't know what they did to piss of Jerry West and make him want to work for the Clippers but they need that man. Otherwise maybe look at getting David Griffin, the one-time Cavs GM who did a very good job during their winning run, is thought of highly by those in the league, and who has a very good relationship with LBJ

    So the play-off matchups:

    Bucks vs Pistons
    Raptors vs Magic
    Sixers vs Nets
    Celtics vs Pacers

    Warriors vs Clippers
    Nuggets vs Spurs
    Blazers vs Thunder
    Rockets vs Jazz

    I'm expecting the top seeds to get up in the East, but can see a few upsets in the West. Both the Blazers and Nuggets look particularly vulnerable, and I think the Jazz will take a game or two off Houston.

    My prediction is Bucks to beat the Sixers to win the East, while the Warriors will beat the Nuggets in the West.

    The Thunder will be interesting to watch in this. Could go all the way to the conference finals, or could self-destruct and lose to Portland in five.

    My picks:

    Bucks vs Pistons;
    Celtics vs Pacers; Bucks vs Celtics;
    Sixers vs Nets; Sixers vs Raptors; Raptors vs Celtics
    Raptors vs Magic;

    Warriors vs Clippers;
    Rockets vs Jazz; Warriors vs Rockets;
    Blazers vs Thunder; Thunder vs Nuggets; Rockets vs Nuggets
    Nuggets vs Spurs;

    Rockets to beat the Celtics in 6 to win it all. Harden plays frustratingly (I will be so mad if Giannis doesn't get the MVP) but I really like CP3 who was shafted from the MVP award in 2008. Rockets and Harden winning is the lesser of two evils if they knock out the Warriors!

    Luke Walton and the Lakers have parted ways, no surprises there. That makes 3 coaching vacancies after the Kings and Grizzlies fired their coaches. Both of those were a bit odd, considering that the Kings had a good year by their recent standards and developed a young core. And Memphis sold the core of their roster midseason

    Sources: Walton reaches deal to coach Kings

    Luke Walton, who mutually parted ways with the Lakers on Friday, has agreed to a deal in principle to coach the Sacramento Kings, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

    Luke Walton will coach a very promising young Kings team next season. I think that will suit him very well

    Results from the playoffs so far.

    Upset city in the East

    Nets over the 76ers game 1

    Magic over the Raptors game 1

    Sean Marks has done an amazing job as GM of the Brooklyn Nets.

    Wow, I'm sure these series will even out but it generates interest. You are right about Marks, he is getting plaudits for rebuilding the Nets from the ashes and rightfully so
