Chabal would be a terrific bass player with those massive mitts of his though.
I'm also gonna go out and say that this is better than the original. I was in the Hawkes Bay doing some vineyards over the weekend and there was a poster for the Proclaimers who played recently and look like a pair of old lesbians.
Can anyone imagine actually sitting through a Proclaimers concert ? you'd spend the whole time waiting for "500 Miles" and they'd play it last.
....and while it's a catchy singalong song it's actually really shit.

Apparently World Rugby were delighted by the publicity that the singing Sebastian Chabal got in Hong Kong and will use Sea Bass again as "entertainment " later in the year in Japan.
Get ready for Chabal belting out "Delilah", "Lady Godiva" or "I am the Walrus" before Rugby World Cup games.

With that voice and look if I were his manager I’d probably suggest some sort of death metal type project but there’s no denying people love a good novelty act like him, Vanilla Ice or the tubby Asian guy who sang ‘Gangnum style’

Chabal sings Baritone with a narrow range. Most pop songs are for Tenor or high tenor/ Altos and require control on the high register.
Something like Lou Reed's Perfect Day or Steppenwolf's Born to be Wild or Bill Withers' Ain't No Sunshine or Billy Idol's White Wedding or Billy Joel's Piano Man would suit his voice

I often looked at Chabal when he was playing and wondered if he was "all there"
These latest antics have done nothing to clear this query up.

Now you’re just being silly, as if Chabal could match Brian Johnson or the late Bon Scott at their absolute finest.
Of course in terms of singing it extremely low and off key and sounding very much like a second language then the caveman is your guy.
