How can you fuck up the Talosians? They look terrible, the originals were played by woman with male voices, and looked creepy as fuck.
These generic aliens look awful.

@Kirwan The two are very similar. Despite little change in the squad/crew etc, we get some hopes up at the start of the seasons anyway.
Especially when you can see pieces of a great series. Just do the Pike prequel series on the Enterprise, and blatantly copy the episodic structure (and focus on story and characters) of The Orville.

@Kirwan is that S2 of The Orville you are talking?
About that awesome episode? Yes.
what episode is that? I'm only just getting into S2 (just watched Bortus porn episode). Need to make sure I get the missus paying attention when we get up to the awesome one.

Ok, they didn’t shit all over The Cage, in fact they started the episode with the images from it. We got about six minutes of how good this show could be, with Pike revisiting his experiences there.
That worked well, and then we get to crying Spock is only the character we now know because of Micheal.
Yuck.
Seriously, if this show was based around Pike and this new guy playing Spock, they might have something. Once they fix his hair, and shave the beard, the guy will make a good Spock. He’s more manly than JJ Spock.
It’s also super amusing how much they are trying to add Orville-like humour into the show.
The visuals of the show keep me watching, seriously every penny is up on screen.
