@Tim Bumped into a mate at the bottleshop who is the team manager for the Brumbies and he said in the second half when the young guys come on for the Brumbies Runners it changed the game.

What's more they also lost young wing Caleb Clarke (originally named to start this match) at the final training session of the week to what looks a two-month knee ligament injury. He will be replaced this week in Argentina when they face the Jaguares staring down the barrel of an 0-3 start.

@Tim could do worse than give Tele'a a start on the wing.

Exactly, I’d rather have the errors a rookie might make and have them improve than a proven failure.

Blues players just want to score the try, take the glory

Blues players just want to score the try, take the glory

The Blues may have begun a new era under Leon MacDonald but they still remain a selfish team, one whose players chase glory by going for the big plays -- Craig Dowd writes.

    I did like this

In this day and age, you're a successful parent if you can raise your kid to get through those dark stages all teenagers go through and have them ready to face the world having enjoyed themselves and their sport. Then you can say you're a successful parent.

@Machpants I thought it was an interesting perspective from an AB tough guy. Very 'new age' ... and having a boy in sport it really resonated. Focus on the fun and mateship, and if they love it, they're more ilkely to do what it takes to go to whatever level they can go to

I did like the line you quoted tho, having my oldest boy 15 (of 4) and entering that whole time of boy>man

I work at a primary school and my thoughts about that are as long as the kids get through to the other end liking school it's a win - cos if they turn up at secondary school hating school, you're fucked!

The Blues have a problem at centre and Rieko Ioane is not the solution

The Blues have a problem at centre and Rieko Ioane is not the solution

The Blues have three key players – Sonny Bill Williams, Ma’a Nonu and TJ Faiane – who are all best suited to second five. Without a bonafide centre, the Blues have struggled to create space for their outsides.

@Machpants Who would've thought that a squad without a centre (at Super Rugby level) would have problems at centre!
