Where are they now? (Past Ferners)
-
Was a fan of Mr Mike's ( @Mr-Mike ) sense of humour.
Miller v Jackson ( @MvJ ) was always worth a read.
We seem to be missing a fair amount of our old Souf Effriken crew. Rusty Cruiser ( @rustycruiser ), True Blue ( @TB ) to name two of the better ones. @gman did some good write ups. A few we're better off without.
@Bull-Dusta 's optimism ("trust me") was awesome.
Oh, and @davidav ...
I do recall a poster called @steiner posting some cryptic message about being "irrevocably out of here", and never being heard from again. Was somewhat dusturbing.

Well I'm sure we all (to some degree) miss @BartMan or whatever incarnation he is now, but there were some prolific posters once that are no longer with us. There was one called Nick The Aussie. Not sure what happened to him. Dodge has been mentioned, I know he got another job and was bemoaning the lack of Fernage this allowed him. Phooey was a major contributor and agent provocateur. All are missed but it was the true weirdos that one remembers. There was a guy called, I think, Da Beat Daddy who was compiling posts at a really rapid rate and only threw his toys out of the pram when @Kirwan arbitrarily changed his avatar to a picture of a tin of spam.
Happy days.
Subtle moderation is the best.
Might as well start with the reason I started hosting in the first place: SuperTusker. On the orginal forum, it had nested threads which he liked to fill up with variations on the c word. Reached out to Bartman and said "I can fix that".
I miss the fluffybunny filter

Also worth noting that Bartman started this in 1999
We're 20 years old
I remember the version that was part of a setup with multiple countries’ forums. Used to be great fishing expeditions ‘crossing over’ to the others, goading them then ducking back.

Supeetusker posted on pr as Bazzamacca I think . He was a cock there too .
We lost a few Aussies to g and g like noddy and I think cyclopath .
I revived an old thread this morning and the previous last poster was Gollum . He was on his second login I think , his previous one was banned too . It’s hard to have sympathy for someone who claims that anyone who takes their own life is a selfish attention whore like he did though .

I kind of miss him actually. He's not banned, just couldn't stand the positive sentiment for Donald after the World Cup in 2011 and just never came back.
That was kind of his blind spot as a foreign fan of the All Blacks, all was forgiven for Donald after ending the curse, and he couldn't compute.

Yeah I remember that. I lurked back then but didn't post
I think this might be the oldest stuff on archive.org:
Still a few familiar names from early 2003

Phooey was superb entertainment
The way he would mercilessly destroy anyone who dared disagree with him. -
3 M’s come to mind

@Miller-V-Jackson
@Mainlander (a decent bloke for a Cantab)
Also
@PdPCan anyone remember the name of the decent bloke with a John Deere tractor avatar? It’s on the tip of my brain.
