These guys do remember they are defending 179 not 300+, right?

Also what the fuck has happened to Guptill?

Ferguson came back well after those first two balls to open the innings. Second over was a thinking over. Nearly created two catch opportunities. And how good is the difference in his slower ball (124km) v. fast over (150km+)

Well they're making short work of this. Def a good toss to win, was doing a bit early in our innings but now the sun has set it's gotten pretty easy.

Will have to bowl well from here.

We’ve got to just keep chipping away with wickets now after the start SL got.

    Come on Doug.

Classic. The guys who save the day with the bat now kick in with the ball.

Really good overs from Doug and Scott. A few of the guys could be a bit sharper in the field though.

Hopefully we have enough bowlers to not have Southee come back.

Really like what Kuggelijn offers. Aggressive and up round 140 with the ball and a decent batsman who can clear the ropes.
And haven’t the comeback kids gone well this so far this summer - Neesham and now Bracewell.

Think someone said it possibly in the CWC thread, we look to be building some good depth at the moment.

Is anyone else sick of the sight of T Perera?

@Gunner nah, we need to learn to deal with destructive batsmen. I'm sick of us bowling stupid length balls to him

@westcoastie fair enough, but we really need him out. If he bats another 4 or 5 overs it’s game over I’d say.

Really good come back over from Southee after being spanked early, great bowling.

@Gunner agreed. Even with that wicket unless they get Perera, Sri Lanka won't be out of it.

They only need 80 more runs. They are doing it easy.

We get Perera soon we’re still a chance, especially with Slinga coming in at 8...

90/10 in favour of SL right now though
