Loved Danny's interview with Patel
Finished the interview with "go hard and give it plenty". He's certainly a unique character.
-
Loved that speech from Patel, you can tell he is a very proud Kiwi.

Feel for Azhar Ali though. Did everything he could while they selfdestructed at the other end.
But whata come back. This team has heart.
I think he left his run too late, they got really negative and their luck ran out

Classic Black Caps. Great win after posting the lowest 1st innings total at that venue ever.
Took a fair old jaffa too!
Ali quite conceivably could have continued milking till 3 to get and force Kanes hand.
Good start for Stead
Oh, and that spin vision camera being slightly offskew during the review didn't help the heart any...

@no-quarter unfreakingbelievable!
Went to bed at lunch.... as much as I hoped, I DID NOT expect us to get the job done. -
For anyone who missed the extraordinary final day - Pakistan Cricket has a neat 20 min highlights package for each day of the test on Youtube. (Mostly Morrison commentating with Younis.)
The expression on the face of the Pakistan coach will crack you up. And seriously...the way the team manage to lose this test is something to behold. A few pearls from Patel and Wagner aside, some of the wickets were just plain stupidity.

Just awesome, and bodes well for the summer. Really thought this tour would be a tough ask to get even one W given what happened to Aus over there, but we nabbed an ODI and now a test win which is incredible given how hard that is to achieve in the UAE. As mentioned, what a start for Stead. Great to see Boult in the wickets too, he's set for a big summer in NZ.

With Patel, Boult and Wagner we have some really nice weapons. I wasn't paying attention so don't know how Sodhi went, but judging by the conditions it will be spin twins all the way in the next matches
