Auckland had that coming. Penalty try; yellow card for Akira. Stupid.

    @rapido Really?

That was so blatantly in the side, utterly awful.

So such thing as blatantly in the side of a rolling maul. Because they are rolling.

Canterbury completely dominating the Auckland Pack. Great crowd, excellent atmosphere they will be happy with the turnout to watch the Finals.

Not much to say really. Getting destroyed.

Auckland lucky not to be trailing by more.

Cant say i see much in Cameron. Even behind a dominant pack looks average.

Faiane very good. Trainor sneaky good.

She's a long way back now.

@stargazer I'm glad we didn't get 100x replays on the big screen.

Good work from Jackson to reward the dominant scrum with the penalty. I have seen those go the other way.

Great play Ioane. He and Faiane leading this team.

@tim Great try Ioane, but he's dominated by Whitelock.

Geez, what a horrible weather. For the crowd that's there, it's good that there aren't more people. At least they get the opportunity to look for a dry, covered seat now that they've opened some of the other stands.

@stargazer Bullshit. Ioane drove him back in a big tackle in the 1st half. Whitelock can't stop him off the back of the scrum even with going very offside.

Even against 14 men Whitelock's ball carrying was his usual 1m and flop over.

@tim I'm not a L Whitelock fan, but he's been much better than Akira thus far.

Canterbury tight five was dominant in the 1st half, and Ioane barely saw the ball. 2nd half a different story.

You know that it's only rucks leant on that counts when comparing Akira and Luke. 😉

Sick family scuppered my plans to go, which is probably a good thing given the rain now. Shame about the weather, would have put a lot of people off - still a good crowd though.

Long way back for Auckland, going to need some magic. Closing out a game in shitty weather is the most Canterbury thing ever.

We really miss Papalii - not getting turnovers today.

Watching Akira closely. Canterbury almost get a turnover because Akira is the first to the ruck but just watches everyone else do their job. The ball spills lose and he kicks it ahead causing havoc. What an enigma!

Yes, finally! Try Trainor. Maybe we're getting a real contest now.
