@duluth Would be a big blow. Our backline is probably where we have a slight advantage over Canterbury and that'll be taken away with those two guys out.

Manu did have ice wrapped around his ankle at the end of the game and was hobbling a bit, but he was still walking around. If it was serious, I'd imagine he'd be off his feet as much as possible, so I'm a little optimistic he'll be available.

Olmstead seemed to be hobbling at the end of the game as well.

What a bonus in having Hometown ref your final.

How short are Auckland to win?

Just heard that both Manu and Trainor should be good to go this weekend. Sweet.

Waiting to see what Canteeburys line up is.
If they field the same team as the semifinal, they are surely the favourites.

I can't see Canterbury losing when they have an All Black first five to lead them around the park.

An average crowd for an Auckland game at Eden Park would be around the 10,000 mark. On Saturday there could be at least twice, if not three times, as many there.

Not sure where McKendry is getting those numbers from?

The biggest crowd in the round robin was the North Harbour game. That was reported as being 5801

10k would be a small SR crowd

Maybe the average from the dawn of time of Eden park?

If 30,000 turn up it will not only be a great result for Auckland rugby but the NPC also.

@hooroo Yeah the free entry promotion also doubles as good marketing for the game itself which you'd think the NZRU would be happy with. Seems to be plenty more buzz about this final than some previous years.

Awesome that it's free, unless the weather is absolutely awful I'm going to bring the family along. Never to early to get the 2 month old boy into rugby, and would be nice for my 5 year old to see Auckland actually win a game live (every Blues game we've attended they've lost).

Weather looks a bit dodge I think

It says showers, like it does most days, the forecast seems to change on a regular basis. Will make a judgement call on the day 🙂

think it is a great marketing ploy, assume ARU got thier Corporate Sponsors on board too, plus others who will want to be in on Finals Action (again, assume most 'packages' wont have included a final?)

More bums on seats, more eye balls looking at sponsor logos.

Here in Aussie the game is not being shown live as it clashes with the local NRC final.

Is anyone able to PM me with help about how those of us in Aussie can watch it live online? ✌🏾
