As long as Sosaia Feki wasn't injured on the play the NRL will overlook it because of the fairytale storyline and the marketing they can do with it.

Watching it online right now I have no problem with the shoulder charge to be honest.

I have no love for slater or Melbourne, but missing a GF for a shoulder charge to the shoulder of another bloke that doesn't hurt him seems like a gross injustice

@mariner4life Refs should have given a penalty try to Cronulla or send Billy to the sin bin for a professional foul though. That's what the NRL will say on Monday.

Another grand final appearance for Melb , 3 in a row , hasn’t been easy this year either with losing Cronk and injuries , awesome effort

@mariner4life it wasnt your classic shoulder charge. His left arm was up , it just didn’t wrap around. I think he should be fine. How good did he play though. Why is he retiring

Hands up who would begrudge the big man his chance to finish up on top?

Slater has an out now if the Roosters beat Souths as Friend's tackle was bad.

    4-4 at HT.

I don’t know, on the replay I actually thought Inglis helped that look worse. Hard to explain without stills and arrows but it’s the way Inglis ducked his head.

Not that Friend would be missed. He’s a grub of a player.

The quality of this game is very poor. Pressure is high no doubt but both teams might as well have Warriors jersies on with the number of errors in the second half.

Now a Barrett-esque miss from right in front by the Roosters.

That's enough for me. The Bunnies have been so one-dimensional and predictable.

    Go Storm!

Haha Reynolds needed to take a couple of seconds to compose himself.

    Game over.

The NRL fairytale is complete - Cronk vs Storm.

@act-crusader Inglis is a dog. It happens whenever he is lifted. He ducks his head to make it look worse. He whinged the whole 80 minutes too. What’s happened to Sam burgess , another terrible game from him.

Friend was the third man in the tackle and lifted Inglis' legs. I think it was worse than Slater's "tackle". They'll both get off the charges.

@ACT-Crusader Cook was terrible as well, summed up by the forward pass near the end of the game.
