And then Curry nailed the definitive 3, stroked home his freethrows, and that was all she wrote.
It's fucked that they have Curry, and Durant, and they just move seamlessly to whoever is hot.

Splash brothers are cold from 3, no matter when Durant drops 40 plus on the cavs. They got so many easy buckets off the pick and roll too, that's what you get when you have to respect the best outside shooting in the league, McGee scores in double figures

GS are a fucking good team. Yes, they have talent to burn, and that certainly helps, but their movement for each other is fucking top quality. They play as a unit, which sometimes gets overlooked when people just look at the roster.

When their offense flows it is a beautiful thing to watch

They will go down as the best passing team in NBA history.
It’s all the little things they do. Your point guard is an excellent off ball screener. Your two guard is not dribble heavy and moves as good as anyone off screens. Your power forward is an unselfish offensive player that loves to pass and create.
Also helps when your small forward is 6’11 and has a 7’5 wingspan and sees over every defender the opposition throw at him.
When ZaZa was in the starting lineup they were an even better passing team. His drop offs and little bounce passes were very good. He’s just gotten slower this year so gets less minutes.

There was a stat from earlier in the year(?) about how many dribbles Klay Thompson took per score (I think he had a big scoring game), and it was some crazy number like 3 or 4 dribbles per point. Ridiculous efficiency

Charles Barkley on LeBron v MJ
“Any media person that I see in person for the rest of my life who try to tell me that LeBron James is as good as Michael Jordan… I’m just going to slap the hell out of them right on the spot. Right on the [expletive] spot. No questions asked.
The next person who walks up to me and says ‘LeBron James, he was amazing. As good as Michael Jordan’ or ‘competes like Michael Jordan,’ I’m just going to slap the hell out of you right on the spot, and I’m going to take my chances with the judicial system.”

I agree with this article from Marc Hinton. I don't begrudge Steven Adams earning big money playing in the NBA, but his professions that he is a proud Kiwi fall very flat with me. I think he should be playing for Tall Blacks when the time is right. To me this is very disappointing. I imagine there will be wide ranging views on this, but that's my take.

@canefan That's fine. I can see the argument. I just don't like it.
I take only a passing interest in basketball, so I don't really care, but I just don't support him over any other random player in the NBA.
I suspect I am not in the majority - and I am fine with that too.

In an ideal world he would play for NZ. IIRC most if not all of the aussies in the NBA play for the Boomers. It's his choice I guess, but I would like to see him in black at some stage of his prime

He came into the NBA as a very speculative 12th pick after only 1 year of college ball. He was extremely raw by NBA standards.
Every offseason since then he has added a new element to his game: really aggressive screen setting, offensive rebounding, a decent hook shot, a decent short-range jumper. How do you reckon he does that and comes back better each NBA season? Its by working hard with top level NBA coaches/trainers all summer, not playing for NZ.
It's the offseason work that has taken him from being a raw back-up to Kendrick Perkins in 2013 to one of the franchise players for a top-6 NBA team with a $100m contract and talked about as a potential All Star. I think you'd take that over putting on the black singlet - he can always do that later in his career after he's peaked in the NBA. Not ideal for NZ basketball, but its the right decision for me.

I’m pretty agnostic on this.
With the Aussies, it’s a little different given the historical context. For the Aussie players in the NBA they grew up with the Boomers being thereabouts for a medal chance. So the fact there are now quite a few in the NBA that all want to play it does make the decision somewhat easier you would think as they would be on to each other about it.
Baines
Ingles
Mills
Delly
Exum
Simmons
MakerThat’s a solid core right there that would get you pretty excited about putting on the (ugly) green and yellow.

Did Seam Marks use to play these qualification tournaments? I only recall him playing at Sydney and the world champs.
I don't remember him playing all the time, but then again my memory is not what it used to be
