Fatbusting: MvJ's log (a blob's blog)
-
GB? MvJ had a dump in the disabled toilets in Waratahs HQ today as a subtle form of chemical warfare waged on the Crusaders' behalf. They'll probably blame Dunning.Â
-
Right, done absolutely nothing since Thursday night's run, although I have walked to Aussie Stadium once and home from it twice this weekend. MvJ's weigh in (see the Announcement thread) has him at -2kg over the last month, so tonight I'm throwing a little party. Invited guests will consist only of myself. If you want to come, tough fucking luck I'll send you the photos. <br />
<br />
The grog is Poet's Corner (with a bottle of Teachers standing by). Cleverly MvJ realised that buying a cask of Banrock would mean I'd drink again tomorrow and that is not the go. It's been over 3 weeks since I had Banrock by the way (Damn you Kirwan!!!!!!!!) which is the longest drought in I think about 3 years. <br />
<br />
MvJ is currently getting shitfaced and watching Love Actually (I love you Keira Knightley, I love you, I love you, I love you) with possibly some Hayley DVD action a bit later. This is a celebration of a month's hard work so I have no problems with going hammer. Tomorrow morning I will be back on the exercycle however. -
Right, Tuesday and I am going shithouse. Did run to work this morning, no other exercise whatsoever for the last few days.<br />
<br />
Will crank a run tonight and training tomorrow. Social commitments are a pain in the arse. I had to farewell a friend last night (a few drinks etc), and have a birthday dinner on Wednesday. For that I have compromised and said I will turn up after training. Otherwise the week is gone before you know it.<br />
<br />
First and only trial match this weekend <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -
Where at MvJ? I might come along and exhort your lazy arse to higher efforts <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> I'll be the first person cheering for the ref <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

University of New South Wales, but it's only an internal trial so I wouldn't bother unless you're biking past (which you shouldn't be because it's miles from your place). <br />
<br />
MvJ has just busted his run record again (I must have done it in a wheelchair the first time) recording a 16.15. Still room for some improvement, but I was going pretty damn quick most of the way. Feels good though. Training tomorrow. -
Fuck me, just went to training and pulled my fucking hamstring... It is starting to tickle, and by fuck it is going to hurt tomorrow.

<br />
That's the annoying thing about regaining fitness. All those muscles that had peviously been pensioned off or made redundant return with a vindictive streak. Nasty little buggers... -
I believe it is the first fatbuster injury, but actually it feels less bad today than last night which has never happened to me with an injury before. Hobbled to work though, so I just hope I can run on it on Saturday. There will only be one way of finding out... <br />
<br />
Entirely my own fault too for not warming up properly, and for espousing the opinion that the warm-up jog will waste energy I need to conserve, and that the warm-up stretches are "gay." <br />
<br />
Diet is the one thing that is going gangbusters though Kirwan; I haven't really missed the complete shit I used to eat. I haven't had fast food in over a month. And, best of all, it hasn't felt like an effort. -
Holy crap, I'd forgotten about that sorry. Injury tally now stands at two. Let's see if we can't take some more of these fat bastards out with us...
-
In my weekend off I managed to referee 3 halves of rugby games yesterday. The leg held up OK, but I ought to have put on sunscreen before going out in the blazing Australian sun. <br />
<br />
Other than for the bulge in the middle, I look like fucking a Beehive matchstick. -
<img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> I added the f word belately, for colour and effect. Sadly I did not add it in the correct place, but now have a new exercise routine in the planning involving a matchstick.
-
So do you get a buzz out of fucking the beehive? <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

MvJ went Fatbusting tonight at Referees' training, nearly keeping up with the fat old bastards twice his age. Again we did over 5km of sprints (plus a 4km walk home for MvJ), 400s and 200s this time. I hate 400s. I think it blew out the steak and ales last night. <br />
<br />
Hopefully I'll spent tomorrow morning on my exercycle, a jog to work and a run after work. Friday I'm speaking at a breakfast (must have been pissed when I put my hand up for that one), so the Friday morning exercise session will be foregone. Pretty easy lower-grade game this weekend, which suits me fine at the moment. -
Yes, 400s got to be high on the hate list. <br />
<br />
A drill from training days, mentioned before on the nuts n bolts forum. 10 laps of the rugby field, and you have 2 minutes to do each one. Backs target is 1:05, forwards 1:15, which gives you 45 seconds rest if you're a fatty. Was able to do all ten under 1;15 when I was a young fella. Would be lulcky to do one under 2:00 now I reckon!!!!
