@mn5 If you're playing the Australian all time team, then mine is better.

They're going to play Bradman and I'm going to bring on Cowie immediately. He only faced the Don once - with devastating results! ๐Ÿ™‚

I just like the fact my team has test hundies down to number 10.

It's always awkward trying to decide if someone who played fuck all deserves a mention. I mean, in years to come people might pick Adam Voges in an all time Oz team unless they look closer and realise he plundered runs for fun against the worst Windies team of all time.

@mn5 Yeah - you've got to read what was written about the people you haven't seen to make sure they weren't Rodney Redmond.

But, assuming that the NZ team is going to be compared to other All time international teams - we'd be mad not to pick Cowie and Dempster who top the averages for us.

When you look at an alltime Australian batting line-up they're not going to even consider anyone who didn't average mid-50s.

And we have to field Flem who struggled mightily to reach a 40 average in his last test?

Go with Dempster - he was virtually invincible and averaged 65! ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm a sucker for someone who can do the business over a long period of time. Also Flem was a fantastic leader.

We're not Oz.....batsmen who average under 40 get mentioned in our all time lists....

@mn5 @Chris-B futile argument, we did this a couple of years ago remember.

Go back and find the thread and youโ€™ll have your definitive answer (TSF is never wrong) of who gets in.

They really let the buggers off the hook not being able to get the tailenders out in a timely manner.

Couple of quick wickets this morning please!

I take full responsibility for starting it by reminiscing over the great man Cairnsy and his achievements.

England all out for 307. Raval and Latham at the crease.

But not Latham anymore! Caught behind off Stuart Broad for a three ball duck.

Nor Raval, also caught behind but off James Anderson for five. NZ fourteen for two.
Williamson and Taylor need to dig in for the long haul.

Taylor goes, and we are way way way behind the 8-ball now given we have to bat last.

Was a poor shot from Taylor, now need Nicholls to go back to back on batting heroics.

Hmmm... Nicholls gone. After two good sessions yesterday it feels like itโ€™s being phoned in since.

And Taylor and Nicholls fail... Time for the Captain and the Sheriff to step up.

Why does it happen so often, that the Black Caps follow up a brilliant performance with an utter shit one, batting-wise?

@booboo 36/5 now. That follow on mark is looking far, far away.
