@sneakdefreak I would be more than happy to see fat boy Ryder back. Anyone but Nicholls.
Me too but I think fat boy has burnt too many bridges.

@sneakdefreak nailed it.
Worker. He’s our man, get him in there.
Chapman after him. -

Chapman after him.I haven't seen much of him but those in the know say he's a big hitter (and a decent backup spinner?).

He’s done Ok in his limited opportunities. Got a couple of 50s earlier in the summer against WI or Pak didn’t he?

What's the story with Nesham? Still on his break?
Think he's become a professional tweeter these days.

@akan004 no fucking way, not Bruce.
I’d be happy for them to stick Chapman at 6 for a while and see how he goes.
He was a bit nervy tonight, but I think there is something about him that says he’s got it.Other than that, I dunno...
Ask the hairy javelin to come out of retirement?
I agree about Chapman. From watching him domestically and in the last few innings I like the cut of his jib. He's got a cocksure confidence about him that I like.
Things to work on naturally but worth a decent go I reckon.

The correct term is professional twit

Pretty piss poor by the middle order - in fact, Guptill, Chapman, Latham, Nicholls and CdGh should probably all struggle to look their captain in the eye in the dressing room - some more than others.
When you see that Kane made 112*, Munro 49 and Santner 41 - you wonder how the rest couldn't somehow scratch together the necessary 30-odd to win.
Nicholls (especially) and Chapman asking for the axe, but unless Rossco is fit, we haven't really got an obvious replacement - George Worker I guess.

Put like that it's fucking sobering. Guptill, Latham, Chapman, Nicholls, CdG couldn't string together 35 runs between them. That's not good enough at this level.

What a fucking shower. Nicholls must be one of those guys who the coach just doesn't seem to want to drop. Who the fark do we have that can step up? He wasn't the only guilty party though. Appalling lack of self discipline for the second match running

In order
Guptill: Awful shot, had he not been watching the England innings?
Munro: 49 runs but so so lucky, should have gone early on when he was batting like a demented earth or.
Chapman: Stay calm it's a bloody 50 over game.
Latham: Missed a straight one.
Nicholls: Struggling to think of any top order batsman missing the ball by that much.
CdG: Initially i thought good shot when mid-on is up. Impossibly dumb.
Satnav: Actually played the situation, he's averaging 150 in the series with 1 unlucky run out.
KW: Superb and would have brought it home with just a little more support. Will be annoyed by penultimate ball, full toss he just needed to get under to lift over Root. -
Just reading this thread now as I only saw the last 30 mins. I was hoping that the ND boys would bring us home but not to be.
The only good news I was hoping to hear this morning was that Nicholls had been shown the door. What a complete waste of oxygen.
I think Worker is injured as I read he would have been the injury replacement for Williamson/Taylor ahead of Chapman.

I don't reckon Kane will be too disappointed, because if The Grade Cricketer has reminded us of anything (and it has), it's that a hundred in a losing side is the ultimate goal of any cricketer.

When looking at his average and his test tons, no1 will look back at whether they won or not..
